Book Sale & Soup Lunch - March 16 The Tioga/Nichols Area Lions Club will hold a Book Sale and Soup Lunch from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 16, at the Lounsberry Methodist Church in Lounsberry. A bag sale will start at 12:30 pm. There will be a variety of soups to choose as well as bread from Panera.
Drink and dessert is included in the price. The book sale will include a large selection of hardcover and paperback books. The proceeds will be used for the community fund.

The Brothers for the Cross will hold their regular monthly breakfast meeting at 8:00 am on Thursday, March 7, at the Blue Dolphin Restaurant, Route 434 (off Exit 66 of I-86), Apalachin. This month’s meeting features Alexis Pleus with Truth Pharm regarding the Opioid crisis. This will be a very informative program and everyone is invited.
The group’s third annual Open Class Car Show will be held on June 15. Brothers for the Cross is a nondenominational Christian Men’s group that includes folks from all of the Southern Tier area of New York and Northern Tier area of Pennsylvania. Candor will hold its second annual Daffodil Festival on Saturday, May 4, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Candor Ball Field on Route 96. The Daffodil Festival will feature all types of vendors, antiques, bands, food, refreshments, and interesting displays.
Applications for vendors are due by April 6, and spaces are on a first-come basis. Applications can be found at candornychamber.org/daffodil-festival
