Eastern Spring Meet Virginia Beach I can’t tell you how excited I am right now, Bob has told me that he is taking me to Virginia Beach! The long lonely winter is over and it is time for our summer fun! It might be true that my tires have already been out on the road for short trips but this trip is almost a thousand miles round trip!!!!This is the big tour this year, and it is not only south but also along the Atlantic Coast! Not quite back to Atlanta where I began my life on the road, but still well on my way to there. Bob put something called “Speed Pass” in my windshield, filled my tank with hi-test without that corn stuff that I choke on and filled my trunk and

back seat with luggage. We were ready to go! That Prospect Mountain construction was a pain to negotiate but that soon was behind us and I began to feel like a real highway car, running in the left lane free of the slow restrictions of local travel. I loved it when Bob let me open up a little going down the Delmarva. The car show was a thrill because there were 414 other cars there including 2 Duesenbergs. I felt a little sorry for the Cadillacs that were parked beside those beauties. For a national meet there seemed to be fewer cars than I would have expected but it still was a great day, the sun was shining, and the sky was blue. Speaking of the blue sky, it had three antique air-

planes that people could pay to ride in. At $95.00 per 15 minutes though it wasn’t something that Bob could afford. To be honest though I think Bob enjoyed just spending the day with me. Isn’t it great how well Bob and I go together? It’s true that Bob has that little red bug that he got a while back and the 1941 that is being restored, but I am still the one that he spends the most time with. The final reward Bob gave me on this trip was that his three grandsons all were able to drive me for a short ride. It really felt good to let them know what it was like to drive a car from the 70’s! I wonder which of Bob’s Grandchildren will be my next owner? See you at the next car show.

Lots of Information On the next pages I have included information not only about our own car show but also about those other regions that have sent me their event information. Below you see the official picture of “Carla at the Eastern Spring Meet (she told me that it was time for her to have some attention in our newsletter) The listing for our new car classes at the show are designed to help eliminate the open spaces on the show field that we have experienced in the past few years. We also will have fewer classes so a shorter closing for the show. On page 6 the members of Genesee Valley Region have invited us to join them on a lunch cruise on Seneca Lake. The other show information represents only the fliers that I was able to dig out from my piles of correspondence. If I have missed something that has been sent I am sorry. There are just so many mistakes that one can make in their lifetime and I am borrowing them from all my friends to cover my own.
