Month of July We have a full lineup of events for the month of July. Starting on July 10th we will be gathering at Route 96 diner and ice cream shop just a quarter of a mile from the beginning of Route 96 in Owego. We are there to have our cars photographed in front of the Texaco station mock up that they have there. If you feel like a meal out that night they have reasonable prices for quick eats, otherwise you can order your after diner treat. We will be gathering starting at 6:00PM and can run as late as 9:00PM. Our second event is

on July 20th when we will meet at Campville Commons for our monthly meeting as well as a lot luck picnic. This outing will begin at 6:00PM. The park is just off Route 17c in Campville. Traveling east on 17c the left turn to the park is just past the Campville Fire Department, look for the wooden sign on your left. Those coming from the east will find the entrance on their right just past Jackson’s farm. The third event will be our first tour of the season which is to Sones Farm Museum in Muncy Pennsylvania. We will be

meeting at the Newark Valley Railroad Museum at 9:00AM on July18th for the start of the tour. This is a scenic tour utilizing only two lane roads for the entire trip. Since there are hills and turns throughout the entire trip we will be experiencing driving conditions that existed in the mid 1930s The museum contains exhibits that represent farm and home life from as early as the mid 1800s. Our cars all are waiting to be taken out for a good drive. You need to take them!!!

New Web Page Thanks to the efforts of Matt Vaglica, our Historian, we now have a new web page for the club. The new address for the page is wwwtiogaregionaaca.com Some of the features of this new page are: 1.a scrolling photo album where we can enter photos of our cars,2.a spot to click for car and vendor applications, for our events, 3 A second scrolling photo album of our past events. 4. A brief history of both AACA and our region. And 5.An invitation for interested persons to join us. The first thing that a visitor to our new page sees is our new updated logo that contains three images of historic automobiles, including the O -We-Go. The second entry is the statement ”The Southern Tier’s Most Active Antique Car Club.” There may be some persons who will ask how we can

claim to be the most active antique car club in the southern tier, the answer comes from the fact that we hold: 1. Monthly Meetings, 2. Two flea markets each year, 3. The only car show patterned after the model used by AACA at national shows, and 4. Two or more tours each year. Of course we need to become a bit more responsive to the events that are planned. Two, three, or four collector cars running together might attract attention, but a string of ten or twelve command the public attention! It is in our ability to field enough cars on a tour to tell our fellow citizens that Tioga Region is a force to be

recognized. We all know that Tioga Region needs new members to continue to function and they will be attracted to us only if they know that we are vital and active. Our car show is only one of the ways that we can tell the public that we are around. Having a good turn out for tours and meetings are more repeated evidence of our existence. Our thirty one years of Tioga Region are evidence that we are strong. Our strength for the next thirty one will come from the people we attract now and in the future. You made Tioga Region, your clubs future is in your hands!
