Keeping busy The holidays are fast approaching and it’s safe to say Weatherford resident Glenna Wooten has already taken care of most of the family and friends on her Christmas list. “I did 52 animal paintings last year, and I gave them away to family members and friends.” In addition to visual art, Mrs. Wooten has spent the last few months learning to play the piano. Her practice sessions can be heard by several nearby residents at Hilltop Park Rehabilitation and Care Center. Neighbor Ruby Peacock said, while the piano key strokes are a “work in progress,” the music is not loud and she can’t wait until Glenna learns Amazing Grace. – Submitted by Larry Ingle LARRY INGLE

Remember Tarzan Boy from Gilligan’s Island? He was so elusive that Skipper’s little buddy had to convince the rest of the castaways of his existence. Tarzan Boy more than exists. He went on to star in dozens of films after Gilligan’s Island. But it wasn’t by chance. He had a little help from his father, Bing, who played the part of a deputy on Bonanza.
