Перекладачі спостерігають за життям у всьому його розмаїтті, працюючи в лікарнях, у відділках поліції, на заводах чи на виставках і ярмарках. Подорожуючи різними країнами, вони вивчають психологічні та культурні особливості різних народів, часто не встигаючи побачити пам’ятки архітектури. Вони підписують договори про конфіденційність і зберігають державні та комерційні таємниці краще за будь-кого. Dear readers! If all of a sudden people cannot see their shadows on the wall they get scared. Similarly, people speaking different languages get scared if an interpreter disappears, does not come or just stops speaking. Who are interpreters and translators? They are professionals whose name is printed in small font in the books they translate, or is not even mentioned during conferences, symposiums and summits? Translators observe life in all its diversity; working in hospitals, police departments, at factories or exhibitions and fairs. The purpose of Shadows is to be a platform of communication for translators and interpreters of all countries.
