It has come down to the city in a unanimous vote to give the two opposing factions of the Peoria Arizona Historical Society — two different boards of directors — to end their dispute and resolve their differences or face eviction from the museum properties on 83rd Avenue in Old Town Peoria. Before a discussion of the agenda item began January 22 at a regular council meeting, Acacia District Councilmember and Mayor Pro Tem Vicki Hunt, in whose district the historical society resides, recused herself. Hunt read a statement giving her reasons for recusal.
