Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki’s latest exhibition sets a daring new direction, building a Pacific feminist trajectory in contemporary art. Declaration: A Pacific Feminist Agenda brings together 12 prominent artists from across the Pacific whose works set a feminist agenda by foregrounding the most pressing issues of our times: climate change and resilience, sovereignty, activism and social. Eleven meters long, nearly three metres long and displayed in its hunting position, the Auckland War Memorial Hall will be the first ever museum in the world to display Peter the T.rex. This is one of a small number of almost complete fossil Tyrannosaurus rex skeletons in the world and the first real T. rex fossil ever to be exhibited in New Zealand. Visitors can get up close and learn about some of the incredible anatomical features of one of the largest land predators of all time and find out how it lived and died. Free entry.

Spark has teamed up with Emirates Team New Zealand to create Spark 5G Race Zone, a Free all-ages 60-minute experience, showcasing the high-tech world of sailing and technology. With seven immersive zones, experience wind visualised like you’ve never seen before, create your own high performance AC75 and put your design skills to the test. Sessions are 60-minutes long, with the first session starting at 10am and the last session starting at 3pm. Opening hours have been extended for the April school holidays until Saturday, May 1.
