THE HERITAGE SCHOOL

HONORS DAY & GRADUATION

“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” William Shakespeare Dear Seniors, What a wonderful time in your lives! Graduating from high school is a huge accomplishment and one that we know you and your family are excited to celebrate. Over the past month, I am sure you have been to many events honoring you and your classmates as you end this chapter of your life and move on to the next part of your journey. Please know that your extended family at The Heritage School is proud of you; we are looking forward to hearing about your next phase of life and celebrating those achievements as well. You will always be a part of The Heritage School - long after your senior year is over.

The Heritage School 2016 Valedictorian Christopher Truong and The Heritage School 2016 Salutatorian Jesse Gilpin are honored at the school’s graduation ceremony.

I chose the William Shakespeare quote above to remind you that you all have a marvelous gift to share. Many of you know what those gifts are while some are just beginning to discover what it is you have to offer the world. Seek your gifts and share them. The world will be a better place because of it. You have heard your classmates refer to life at The Heritage School as life in “the bubble.” It’s true! You are part of a supportive community where your teachers, families, and fellow students have stayed close, supported you, and helped you get to this point today. This support will serve you well as you continue your educational path on a larger college campus. Remember what was important to your success at Heritage and seek those aspects in your next school community. Good friends, teachers who care, and activities that challenge you will help you adjust to your new setting and continue to excel. We know many opportunities await you, but if obstacles arise, we know you will face them head on. Please know that we are still here to give you the pep talk you need, be a listening ear, make you laugh, or offer advice. You will always have a home in The Grove.

Tom Pattiz is awarded The Rotary Cup by Otis F. Jones III, past chairman of the board of trustees for The Heritage School.

We wish you a future full of happiness and adventure! Sincerely,

Kristin J. Skelly Head of School

Congratulations, Students! To all graduates in our service area, we congratulate you for your accomplishments and encourage you in your future endeavors. We take education very seriously here at Coweta-Fayette EMC, and we think it’s among our corporate responsibilities to support local students and the educational systems within our service area. That’s why we established the Melissa Segars Memorial Scholarship, which is funded through the EMC’s Operation Round-Up program. So, thanks to participating EMC members who contribute to the fund monthly by allowing us to “round up” their electric bill to the next highest dollar, 21 outstanding students will receive assistance to further their education! Call Coweta-Fayette EMC today to find out more about how your small change adds up to benefit your community.
