ALPHARETTA Urban Escape Games Urban Escape Games is a unique amusement center where time is the enemy. It’s the physical adaption of the popular virtual escape rooms online.

During the game, you and your team enter a “locked” room, where you’ll have one hour to figure out how to escape. You’ll work together to find clues, solve puzzles, crack codes, and investigate everything to make it out in time.

Several fun escape rooms are set up, including ones in which you’ll match your wits against clues left by a magician, solve a murder in a tea shop or race against the giant video countdown clock to save the world from a CDC outbreak.

You’ll laugh and connect with others as you plan your escape. There’s nothing scary or inappropriate about the games, but participants must be at least 14 years old.

ATLANTA Atlanta BeltLine, Eastside Trail Lace up the sneakers and join others on Atlanta BeltLine’s Eastside Trail, the most popular segment of the proposed 22-mile rail-trail around the city. This paved, two-mile trail starts at the tip of Piedmont Park near 10th St. and Monroe Drive, and ends on Irwin Street near the Irwin Street and Krog Street markets.

The trail connects some of Atlanta’s best neighborhoods along with their shopping centers, greenspaces and parks. It’s a magnet for runners, cyclists, couples, stroller-pushing moms and scooter-riding kids. Let the kids get wet in Old Fourth Ward Park’s splash park or perfect their

This summer’s new exhibit, Bruce Munro: Light in the Garden, is the largest installation by the British artist in the Southeast. Delta Flight Museum The Delta Flight Museum is a kid-friendly aviation and corporate museum, near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. It explores Delta’s history and the future of flight with

It houses the only full-motion Boeing 737 simulator open to the public in the U.S., and the Waco 125 biplane, the only aircraft of its kind remaining.

Guided tours are offered Tuesdays. On the second Tuesday of the month, the tour is of the interior of Delta’s first DC-3 to carry passengers.

It’s hard to choose a favorite exhibit at the Georgia Aquarium because they’re all stunningly visual and exhilarating. It’s the world’s largest aquarium with 10 million gallons of water and 100,000-plus aquatic creatures, and visitors still can’t get enough. Summer 2015 The National Center for Civil and Human Rights is the newest addition to Atlanta’s distinguished civil rights heritage. The museum is dedicated to civil rights history and other human rights struggles like women’s rights, LGBT, immigration and child labor issues, and how the struggles are related through original works of art and interactive exhibits.

There’s a one-mile handling circuit that mimics the undulating, hairpin turns of a country road and an off road course with a 45-degree descent. Drivers learn how to maneuver out of spins or skids on another module that has a kick plate mechanism to throw the Porsche into the slides.

National Infantry Museum & Soldier Center It’s the finest interpretive museum and the most impressive memorial to the fighting foot soldiers of the U.S. Army. It documents the history and future of the infantry, the military’s oldest and largest branch.

Infantrymen have earned more than half of all the Medals of Honor by all branches of the military combined. Close to 80 percent of servicemen who’ve died in war were infantrymen, and the museum dedicates its 190,000 square feet to their service and sacrifice.

CPLS Summer Reading Challenge & Picnics The Every Hero Has a Story Summer Reading Challenge kicks off May 26 at 11 a.m. at the Central Library on Literary Lane with an opportunity to meet neighborhood heroes – Coweta County’s firefighters who’ll lead participants in an interactive fire safety program.

Coweta County Public Library System will host a Picnic with Heroes in which Coweta’s Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit will be featured along with firefighters. Participants will be encouraged to bring their own hero on picnic dates. CPLS Director Jimmy Bass also plans to host a Jam with the Super Heroes of Rock to cap off CPLS’s hero-themed events over the summer.

The reading program is for adults, teens and children and runs May 26-July 25. Other events to be scheduled include puppet shows, animal acts and magic shows.

STONE MOUNTAIN Stone Mountain Park’s Lasershow Spectacular It’s the longest running laser show and an Atlanta tradition that promises to wow the family each time.

The show is enhanced with Mountainvision, a digital projection technology that adds 3-D life effects without the glasses.

TYRONE The Legacy Theatre The Legacy Theatre’s 20142015 season winds down with Footloose: The Musical, which runs July 10-Aug. 2.

It’s about teenage rebellion and repression and features delightful dance moves set to an Oscar and Tony-nominated score.

A Musical Theatre Mini Camp is offered July 13-17 for ages 5-7. Enrollees in this camp participate in theater games, acting workshops and
