I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Interior Design from Georgia Southern University (CIDA and NASAD accredited) and also have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Fisk University. I am excited to use both of these degrees in the future to create designs that are beneficial to mental health and to create environments, both commercial and residential, that increase and positively benefit clients’ mood and behavior. I am proficient in many design applications such as AutoCAD, Revit, InDesign, Illustrator, and Lumion. I enjoy being able to use my creativity and organizational skills to create new designs that are pleasing to clients.
In this project, we used information from our previous assignment in Design 5. We were given an area in Statesboro, Ga and were tasked to build a business that would help bring more clientele and population to the area. We partnered with the Psychology program to narrow down what type of businesses people want to see in the city. From our studies, the group decided townhouses, a boutique hotel, a museum, and a recreation building would be most beneficial. For the Design Studio 6 project, I chose to complete a boutique hotel.
This is the development stage where I began deciding which rooms to be inlcuded in the space and their proximity to each other. I also began sketching major rooms that would be focal points in the design.
The design of this hotel will have a vintage feel to bring the aesthetic of Statesboro to life. There will be a rustic palette with hints of metals to mix the vintage with a glam to make it a more elegant boutique style. The individual rooms will have the same palette. The first floor will have a lounge, bar, exercise room, computer room, coffee shop, pool, and outdoor seating for all communal needs for a getaway.

The goal of the design is to create an atmosphere that is productive and useful to its employees. The building is located in Dallas, TX so there will be an element of incorporating the natural aesthetic of Texas into the design.
The state flower is the bluebonnet, and the Mavericks stadium is located outside of the office, so there will be a neutral, rustic palette with many blue accents located throughout the space. The space will have an open floor plan with private rooms available for offices and meetings. The large windows will allow for a lot of daylight to enter the space and the area will be well lit with many light levels. The Steelcase sight will merge vintage elements with a warm and inviting atmosphere.

This project is for a restaurant named “Window Seat”. It is a bistro that serves fresh foods like salads, sandwiches, and desserts. It has a full service bar and outdoor seating. The previous page shows two boards I have created to display the overall design. It includes elevations, a mood board, Sustainable Development Goals, sections, floor plans, and 3D views. This is an already existing building in Savannah, Georgia that would be renovated and turned into the restaurant seen here. It was originally the location of a railroad station and still has trains located throughout the site. The goal was to bring industrial elements from the existing train station with the iron, brick, and wood. and mix it with cottage core elements like bringing in more plants and a neutral palette into the interior.
Site research and planning consisted of many elements. Finding what all was in proximity to the site in terms of demographics, landscaping, and needs of the area. Going more in-depth, I began space planning the area and the insides of the buildings.

This project was for a multigenerational duplex. Each side included ADA accessibility as well as aging-inplace elements. The plan is to create a space that is open and inviting. The design focused on a midcentury modern design that will be incorporated into a universal design. I used a neutral palette on the cooler color spectrum to keep the place feeling clean but not like a hospital with all of the accessibility accommodations. The goal was to have enough space to host gatherings as well as being a home that feels safe and private. The floor plan was done in AutoCAD and the floorplan was created in Revit. . I used Lumion to create a 3D visual of the living room and bathroom. The rendering of the kitchen/dining area was completed in Revit. The two elevations of the ADA bathroom and of the kitchen/dining area were also done in Revit.

I redecorated for Jordan Middle School in Lawrenceville, Ga. The principal gave me decorative liberties in most of the rooms. She wanted her school to feel warm, safe, and inviting. I worked on several conference rooms, front offices, the wellness room, and other small rooms throughout the building.

This project shows ideas for a renovation. We converted a garage and utility closet into a guest suite. The renderings show different storage solutions within the space
This is a personal project of mine. I explored how I would design rooms for the different characters in Wicked. I explored designs for Elphaba, Glinda, and Fiyero.
