This guide will provide you with all the information you may need when deciding on your wedding day photographer. You are embarking on an exciting chapter of your lives. Right now it may seem like a whirlwind from the “Yes!” to what happens next? And deciding on the person you choose as your photographer can be a major decision. That is why I created this guide to help provide you with as much info as possible and give you a little more insight into my style and answer any lingering questions. My goal when photographing a wedding is capture the story as authentically as possible. Every tear, smile, laugh, goofy grin-they all tell the story of your day and I love capturing those moments, both big and small, for you to look back on and cherish. My style is a combination of directed and unscripted posing, this will lead to portraits that look as honest and real as the love you have for each other. Once the booking process complete, contact me if you’d like to set up engagement photos. Most couples book these 9-12 months out, however there are no rules! Typical turnaround time for these sessions are 3-4 weeks.
The Process
The booking process is fairly simple! Once you’ve decided to move forward, you’ll just return a signed contract to me with the retainer (deposit) required. The retainer is applied to the wedding package of your choice!
About 8 weeks prior to the wedding date, I’ll send out a wedding questionnaire. This questionnaire helps up create the timeline for photos throughout the day and It’s best to have it completed before our final meeting! SESSION
IV. FINAL CONSULTATION V. WEDDING DAY VI. GALLERY DELIVERY
Within 2-3 weeks before the wedding, we will set up our final meeting. This is where we go over the wedding questionnaire and all final details to create the photo timeline and discuss any changes to the schedule or plans for the day of. It’s the big day! Relax-I’ve got this. Timeline’s are created as a general guideline. I will keep track of it so you don’t have to and just remember-nothing happens without the Bride & Groom, so don’t worry about a thing and enjoy your day!
Within 8 weeks (depending on time of year), your final gallery will be sent via email. You’ll also receive a custom USB of all the edited images in the mail aroudn the same time. The album process will start shortly after.
Most Popular The Heirloom$3200 All collections include only 1 photographer. A second photographer can be added to any collection for $600 My most popular collection is called The Heirloom. This collection includes 8 hours of continuous wedding day coverage, a complimentary engagement session, and a custom heirloom album. This collection also includes all final edited images on a custom USB with a print release as well as an online gallery for sharing.

Why do I offer complimentary engagement sessions?
Because I want you to be as comfortable as possible with me and posing in front of the camera on your wedding day so we can make sure to capture the most relaxed and beautiful photos of you! Engagement sessions give us the time to get to know each other a little more before the big day and for you to get a feel for the way I photograph and my style. I absolutely love these engagement sessions because I also learn more about your love story and what makes your story uniquely you two!

Is the deposit/retainer refundable?
I understand things happen. That’s life. Unfortunately the deposit and any monies paid are non refundable per the contract you sign because I’ve held the date of your wedding for you
Theexlcusively.deposit is due immediately to reserve your date. The final payment is due 2 weeks before your wedding date. I will send out a reminder 8 weeks before, along with a wedding questionnaire to help us nail down the flow of your wedding timeline. There are no exceptions to this and payment can not be paid after the wedding. If you would like to set up a payment plan to help pay in smaller chunks instead of all at once at the end we can absolutely discuss that! No. I understand other vendors of yours may do this, however the amount of work I do extends far beyond the day of your wedding. There are hours upon hours of culling and editing aside just from photographing your day. I need to put together your story and it doesn’t change because it’s a different day of the week. The work remains the same.

Frequently Asked Questions
I absolutely love to travel! I live in Wisconsin but have photographed weddings in several other states and love destination weddings, shooting several of them as well. That being said, if you do live outside of my little region, travel costs do incur so we can chat about it. Typical mileage rate is $.57 per mile after 50 miles (roundtrip). Yes! I custom hand edit and cull every photo you receive. I do not batch or mass edit, so every photo has been personally touched and edited. My average turnaround time is roughly 8-10 weeks after the wedding. This goes hand in hand with the way I edit. I do not batch edit to try to hurry your wedding along, as I believe that every photo matters. I was a bride once as well and those little detail photos were just as important as the posed moments. The raw/unedited files will never be available for purchase or view. This questions doesn’t pop up often, but I felt it necessary to address and explain. Because I hand cull and edit every image and sort through every photo I take, I can assure you I’m not withholding any photos to meet some kind of standard of images delivered or whatever you may think. While you may hear my camera clicking away, and yes I sort through a few thousand photos, I typically take multiple shots of the SAME EXACT POSE to make sure I don’t get a blink or sneeze and capture that moment for you. Because I understand those little moments matter, I’m not going to hold them back and I’ll be the first to admit I often turn over more photos than were probably necessary because I’ll love that photo, and that photo, oh and that photo too! Asking for the undedited files is like asking for your baker’s scraps. I promise they are all the absolute outtakes and duplicates.
