Understanding how our children Brain function is of paramount importance as around 90% of brain development occurs between the ages of 0 and 6 years.Early childhood education is of great importance today, as we are aware that the first five years of a child's life are the basis for its future development.

MEMORY GAME

Involve your child in a memory game by having them sit across from you.

Show your child a row of 5 pictures for 5 seconds and encourage them to memorize the pictures from left to right. You can help them by repeating the names of the pictures together. If the pictures are not visible, ask your child to memorize the pictures and name them in the same order, left to right.

TRACE IT

Strengthening the connections between the left and right brain hemispheres is very important, and here is a simple action to achieve that goal:

Take a sheet of paper and some pencils to draw.

On the right hand (the child's dominant hand), draw a texture or pattern.

Give the child a notebook and ask them to reproduce, with their non-dominant hand, the same structure as the mirror image on the left. Adjust the complexity of the task to the age of the child. This activity will help improve communication and coordination between the two hemispheres of the brain.

Flashcards

To start the right brain exercise with the flashcards, have your child sit across from you. Assemble a series of flashcards from a specific category, e.g. B. farm animals, birds, flags or elements from the periodic table, all printed on heavyweight paper.

Hold a deck of picture cards and make sure they are facing the child. Now present each picture card to your child in rapid succession, one card per second. This quick slide show will boost your child's photographic memory and improve their ability to learn more effectively and efficiently.

WHO'S INVITED

Prepare three cards with images from the same category, such as farm animals or the solar system. Show your child each card one at a time, and show each card for about a second.

Then you remove three cards from the child's field of vision and place a fourth card on the draw pile. Now lay out the four cards in front of you and shuffle the order at random. Have your child identify and choose a “guest”; an image never before shown on the top three cards.

Start with three cards and gradually increase the number of cards used in the activity as your child can better identify the 'visitor'. Photo. This exercise will help improve your child's memory and strengthen their ability to learn in the right hemisphere.

COMBINE MEMORY

Encourage your child's creative right hemisphere by combining memory exercises while developing imagination and memory skills.

Begin by showing your child a variety of seemingly unrelated pictures and toys. Unleash your creativity and create a magical story by combining these different elements into a whimsical narrative.

After telling a compelling story, remove pictures and toys from your field of vision. Challenge your child to remember and tell a series of pictures and toys based on the story they just heard.

It should be noted that these right-hemisphere activities promote a rapid pace of learning, which corresponds to the natural way in which the right hemisphere absorbs information.

Enjoy these great right brain stimulation activities with your kids as they not only make learning fun but also stimulate their imagination and memory.
