VILLA SHODHAN RENDERING
PAVILLION OF PERSUANCE The idea of the pavillion is based on the physically disabled, mainly focused on the wheelchair bound. Using slopes as the main element of the pavillion, it allows the accessibility for wheelchairs and also allows easier interaction between people within the space. The aim of the pavillion is to allow the integration between the disabled and the society throught social interaction and understanding. Many people has a strong misconception of the disabled being unable to function properly within their daily lives like an abled bodied. Hence with this pavillion, I hope to bridge the connection for the disabled and spread the awareness of not looking down upon the disabled.

Section Cut Perspective to show how the pavillion can be accessed when people are moving around the area. As it is located close to the pedestrian crossing and a junction which people have to move across when going through the space, It easily attracts people’s attention to enter the pavillion.

NATURE REHABILATION CENTRE @ PALAU UBIN A rehabilation centre designed in Palau Ubin meant for troubled youths who are going through issues such as emotional distress, broken family problems,etc. The centre makes uses of the natural surroundings of Palau Ubin to create a comfortable and relaxing environment for the youths to heal physically and mentally. The concept behind the centre is the idea of progression. It aims to bring the youths out of their negative past, allowing them to progress on to a new future which is beneficial for them. It is also a chance for the troubled youths to pick up new skills and growth within a person thus they are able to get back into the society.

VOLUNTEER&PHILANTHROPHY + COMMUNAL FOOD HUB The idea of the cultural food hub is to bring people who visits Kampong Glam together through the use of Malay traditional food. In the current modern Kampong Glam, I feel it lacks a central gathering space for people to interact unlike the Kampong Glam in the past. The food hub is based on the planning of kampong houses where kampong houses surround a central communal space for villagers to gather and have different activities together such as eating and chatting. Hence with the use of cooking classes, food exhibition, spice garden, etc; I hope to create a lively and friendly environment for everyone that visits the food hub.

Spice garden for people to taste spices that are used in traditional malay delicacies.
Boards being put up along the walkways to introduce people about malay traditional cuisines.
Communal kitchen where cooking lessons are conducted and also a space for people to interact and share their cooking.
