How is vacation and sick time defined for doctors?
Reference your doctor employee agreement.
Staff can go into the “negative” and borrow up to 40 hours against future earned PTO if it is in upcoming vacation or you can use earned PTO if it is a future vacation, and enough time has lapsed for them to accrue the PTO.
Unsured PTO will rollover from year to year up to the allowable PTO capped amount. The PTO capped amount is equal to the employee’s annualized PTO amount plus 40 hours.
For states that have paid sick leave laws, Thrive honors sick pay accruals as part of your overall “master” PTO accrual. Your entire PTO bank can be taken for whatever reason is personally important to you.
You begin accruing PTO on day 1 with Thrive! Your accrual for the year will be prorated based on partnership date.
