SECONDARY PROCESSES SECONDARY PROCESSES

The secondary processes are what is done after cutting and threading material. These secondary processes are heading, bending, welding, and chamfering.

Heading is hot forging a head on the bolt.

Bending uses a hydraulic system to bend a 90-degree angle.

Welding assembles a nut and/or a washer/plate on one end of the bar and tack welds it in place.

Chamfering is when you cut a bevel angle on the end of the bar.

Key things to always remember:

Make sure that the material you are using is for the order you have.

Always count and measure your material.

We encourage you to ask questions.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO BE SAFE! IT'S THE NUMBER 1 GOAL.
