TEEN LEADERSHIP CLUB, Age 15-17 High School Age Volunteer Program. Designed to give students experience in the field of recreation. Volunteers work at the Teen Center, CRPD, and community special events.

COMMUNICATION AND PERSONAL MANAGEMENT SKILLS, Age 12-17 Learn to deal with stress, anger, fear, and worry skills instrumental in relationships with parents, teachers, and coaches. Facilitated by Elizabeth Sorensen and Pete Martinez, Youth Outreach Workers. Enrollment: Max 15

ELITE DRIVER’S EDUCATION, Age 15-17 Classes are interactive, entertaining, and informative. DMV also requires six hours of behind-the-wheel training with a licensed instructor (available through Elite). Instructor: Mike Burgett. No class 2/16. Enrollment: Max 20 9000.1191 Sa 11:00am-4:00pm

Our programs include a variety of recreational classes, educational workshops, seasonal camps, leagues, trips, dances, concerts, and great special events, as well as FREE drop-in recreation. Check out our facility’s awesome features: gymnasium, soundproof music room, a 1,700 sq. ft. game room complete with pool and ping pong tables, black light air hockey, foosball, free arcade games, vending machines, and multiple high-def big screen TV’s with all the latest gaming systems. A computer lab with high speed internet is open and staffed during designated hours. We also have classrooms, a catering kitchen, and a social lobby with couches and a 65” TV. YOUTH OUTREACH This multipurpose community social service program is jointly sponsored by the Conejo Recreation and Park District and the Conejo Valley Unified School District. By design, outreach workers seek out and address the needs of non-involved and hard-to-reach youths. Duties include truancy prevention programs, community referral service, recreational programming, and crisis intervention. Outreach staff may be contacted at the Thousand Oaks Teen Center at 805-494-5156.

Come and explore engaging science activities at our Teen Center Science Festival, from 4:30 to 6:00 pm on Feb 26, 2019. We’ll send electricity through the air, eat polymers from the sea, and look into the hearts of atoms.
