STACKS At Thos. Moser, we believe that all things made by hand, big or small, are equally worthy of considered design and precious resources. These small boxes are made of the same walnut and cherry we use in our furniture, and have been designed to stack in threes, either in the same or varying sizes. Treated with a food safe finish, the underside of the lid of each box may be used as a cutting surface for cheeses, for example, and the bowl for crackers and other snacks.

SPECIAL EDITION: TOM’S FLAG In a moment of inspiration to create and make something new, Tom decided to tackle an interpretation of the American flag in walnut, cherry and maple, the same premium resource as our furniture. The first flag hangs in the Dirksen Senate Building in Washington DC, on loan to Maine Senator Susan Collins. Several others have since been made and, by popular demand, several more will be made to order for the holiday season this year.

BEACON BOX The Beacon Box was inspired by the one created in honor of US Olympian, Joan Benoit Samuelson, and the annual TD Beach to Beacon 10K Road Race that she founded and proudly chairs in her home state of Maine. The idea for such a keepsake box came about when Joanie and Tom Moser had the chance to meet at our Freeport Showroom. Tom’s son and master craftsman, Andy Moser, furthered their idea, and in summer 2014, the boxes were awarded as a trophy to the winners of each class of the Beach to Beacon 10K Road Race, nationally recognized as one of the top road races in the country. The Beacon Box, like all Thos. Moser furniture, is handmade at our shop in Auburn, Maine and incorporates dovetail joinery, signifying Thos. Moser quality and craftsmanship.
