Grilled Peaches and Prosciutto

For Glaze:

1 cup balsamic vinegar

3 tablespoon sugar

Freshly ground black pepper

Olive oil (as needed to brush on peaches)

4 ripe peaches

16 slices of prosciutto

Bring glaze ingredients to a boil, reduce to simmer and reduce by half.

Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes. Slice each peach into 4 wedges and wrap a thin slice of prosciutto around each one. Secure onto a wooden skewer (smaller skewers work best for turning the peaches.)

Heat grill to a medium temperature. Brush olive oil onto each peach skewer and place on grill, basting with sauce and turning as needed until prosciutto has crisped and peaches are soft.

Serves 4 with a side for a meal or 8 as an appetizer.

A peachy new way to Thompsonsupport Education Foundation

Thompson Education Foundation is taking orders for boxes of peaches to support the Scheer Student Opportunity Fund. The Fund removes barriers for Thompson School District students to embrace individual academic, leadership, recognition and extracurricular opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach due to financial need.

These juicy and delicious peaches are sourced from C & R Farms, located on the Western Slope. Orders will be accepted until late July. Peaches make great gifts! Pick Up Day will be scheduled for early-mid August (weather & harvest dependent).

Thank you for your support!

$30 FILLS A BACKPACK

HELP KIDS SUCCEED SCHOOL SUPPLY PROGRAM SUMMER 2024

This year, TEF staff and volunteers will fill over 1,400 new backpacks with high-quality school supplies for students and families who need a little financial help preparing for the new school year. This number reflects 1 in every 10 students in the Thompson School District and illuminates the need within our community. The Help Kids Succeed school supply program ensures that supply-filled backpacks are available to any student

TEF welcomes donations for the Help Kids Succeed school supply program! When donating, consider that a new backpack filled with supplies for a K-12 student can cost $75 or more. TEF partners with purchasing providers to offer the same filled backpack for $30, allowing your support to go further to benefit more students.

A gift of $120 provides backpacks for FOUR students! Donations are accepted year round for Help Kids Succeed. Support the Program! Donations are accepted year-round for HKS at: thompsontef.org/donate

SO MANY WAYS TO SUPPORT THOMPSON EDUCATION FOUNDATION

Donations from community members and organizations help support students and staff in TSD. Each gift contributes to life-changing educational opportunities offered by TEF.

Donate on our website

Donate with Venmo

Call our office at 970-613-5074 to discuss setting up a scholarship or customizing your gift.

In celebration of our 35th anniversary, Thompson Education Foundation has set a lofty goal: raise $35,000 in support of the many programs that provide exceptional educational experiences for students and teachers in Thompson School District.

YOU CAN HELP!

Just think... if 1,000 of our donors and supporters donate an extra $35 this year, we will reach our goal. And this is a scalable gift... donations in multiples of $35 help us get there even faster and increase the impact.

You can also help us reach our goal by signing up for TEF’s Monthly Giving Program. Your monthly donation supports over 70 TEF programs that provide opportunities to students and teachers in Thompson School District. It’s easy to sign up and your giving is self-directed.

MONTHLY GIVING

Thompson Education Foundation Monthly Giving Program

Monthly giving is an easy and convenient way to increase your level of financial support for TEF and get more involved in our mission. Your monthly donation can be program specific or support our general unrestricted fund. This means your support follows your own individual passion, whether that’s athletics, academic enrichment or school preparedness. Plus, your monthly donation gives TEF a strong source of revenue, allowing us to plan for future expansion over several months or even years in anticipation of evolving needs within Thompson School District.

Why does monthly giving make sense for me as a donor?

• Convenience- Monthly donations are automatically processed, so there’s no need to input your payment information or mail in your donation every time you want to give.

• Flexibility- Adjust your donation amount over time.

• Self-directed giving- Choose a specific program to support, or support multiple programs.

How does monthly giving benefit Thompson Education Foundation?

• Your monthly donation provides a predictable source of fundraising revenue that supports ongoing projects, future growth and unexpected expenses.

• As a monthly donor, you have the potential to offer a greater lifetime value to TEF than one-time or occasional donors, creating a lasting impact on Thompson School District and our community.

How do I become a monthly donor?

1. Decide which fund you want to support: The Monthly Giving Program currently offers HKS Heroes (Help Kids Succeed school supply program); Scheer Student Opportunity Squad (SOS) (Scheer Student Opportunity Fund); All Star Support Team (Student Athlete Fund); and the TEF Strength Fund.

2. Click on one of the above funds to access the donation page, or visit each page under “Our Services”.

3. Decide on your monthly level of support, choose to make a recurring donation, provide your contact and payment information, and you’re all set!
