vehicles yield to all. Horses yield to hikers. Cyclists yield to horses and hikers. The Trans Canada Trail is made up of sections of the Kettle Valley Rail Trail and the Columbia Western Rail Trail. It has no designation except for the 17 km non-motorized section that has been improved between Grand Forks and Cascade West. Expect loose gravel, pavement and unconsolidated surfaces if you are riding a bicycle. We recommend at least a 2.4 mountain bike tire. Grabbing a bite on the Trail There’s nothing better than enjoying good food after a long day on the trails. Each community in Boundary Country has great eateries and local agriculture for farm-to-table experiences. The Doukhobors have a well-documented history in Boundary, one of their lasting legacies in the region is tasty borscht. Christina Lake, Rock Creek and Beaverdell all have classic ice cream treats in the summertime. Visitors can always take a break in one of the Boundary’s unique locally run restaurants and cafes. Food and adventure integrate very well here. Go to Boundarybc.com/eat or ask a local for their recommendation! Trail Etiquette • Travel on well-marked routes, especially when on or near farmland and private property.

Get advice from the locals at the Visitor Information Centres who can direct you to town maps, trail maps, rental bikes, where to park near the trails and shuttle services.

• Become aware of the issues associated with invasive plants and how your activities can contribute to their spread.

• Leave no trace and carry out all garbage.

25kms of Nordic ski and snowshoe trails, Big White is the perfect place for a family getaway.
