Will is Head of The Abbey School in Reading, one of the country’s foremost independent girls’ schools. He has an impressive track record of success within the independent school sector, with a particular understanding of academically ambitious London day schools. Educated at Eton and Clare College, Cambridge, Will began his career as a journalist and author before moving into teaching at St Paul’s School, where he rose to become Undermaster. He went on to a Deputy Headship at St Paul’ Girls’ School. His interest in developing an innovative and pupil-focussed curriculum led to the Executive Headship of Fulham School before he took up his current role at The Abbey. Will is passionate about developing a new kind of education: personal to each child, combining academic excellence with real-world skills, and based on kindness and joy.

Therese is currently Head at Thomas’s Putney Vale. She trained as a Geography teacher, has a Master’s degree in Learning and Teaching from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, has collaborated with MIT on STEAM education and is working towards her doctorate in education from the University of Bath. Having previously held leadership roles in Boston and Shanghai, Therese is interested in looking beyond the national education system and considering alternative curriculum models to ensure that students thrive in school. Therese is looking forward to bringing the innovative curriculum model to life at Thomas’s College.

Martha is Deputy Head at Thomas’s with oversight of safeguarding, behaviour and pastoral care. The pastoral provision and safeguarding culture at Thomas’s is incredibly strong and she is passionate about building on this in a larger school. Martha teaches Classics and is looking forward to teaching the A level Latin and Greek provision at the College. She began her career at Benenden and is excited at the opportunity of setting up a new boarding offer for London families.

With over a decade of experience of admissions, marketing, communications and development in London schools including Latymer Upper and King’s College Wimbledon, Laura is passionate about delivering an excellent admissions process for the new Thomas’s College community. Educated at Alleyn’s, she holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from Manchester Metropolitan University. Prior to working in the Education sector, Laura held senior roles in commercial marketing, business development and partnerships at Channel 4 and the Guardian.

Shelagh is a highly experienced safeguarding consultant specialising in child protection, mental health, and safeguarding supervision. With a career spanning over two decades, she has worked across both the education and healthcare sectors, equipping professionals with the knowledge and skills to create safer environments for children and young people. Most recently, Shelagh served as Director of Safeguarding at King’s College School, Wimbledon where she provided expert guidance and strategic oversight across the entire school community. Prior to this, she spent six years at St Paul’s School, London, building on her extensive background as a Child Protection Specialist Nurse in the NHS, as the school’s Safeguarding Coordinator. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively with families, offering support and intervention to improve outcomes for children and ensure their safety and wellbeing. Shelagh’s wealth of experience, combined with her thoughtful and thorough approach to training, ensures that schools and organisations receive the highest standard of safeguarding support.

Joanna has a proven track record of fostering academic excellence and strategic leadership in educational settings. A graduate of University College London with a degree in Biomedical Sciences, she trained as a mathematics teacher and was Head of Maths for 8 years, blending analytical rigour with pedagogical expertise. Her commitment to education is further reflected in her pursuit of two Master’s degrees - one in Educational Practice and another in Educational Leadership. Joanna is dedicated to upholding high academic standards, nurturing every student’s potential, and ensuring students have a fulfilling and enriching learning experience

Lloyd was educated at King Edward VI Community College, Devon and the University of Sussex. Lloyd joined Thomas’s in 2022 from Varndean School, where he led the Geography provision. This is his eighth year teaching as a Geography specialist. He is excited to move to the College: the new location and facilities offer an unparalleled opportunity to establish a world-leading co-curricular provision, with outstanding trips and activities for all students.

With 11 years’ experience of boarding, including serving as Director of Sixth Form at Bryanston School, James is passionate about the unique experiences boarding provides. He believes it allows pupils to enrich their education, build lifelong friendships and develop independence. James studied at the University of Bath, completing an undergraduate degree and later earning an MA in education. James holds a PGCE from the University of Buckingham. As Director of Boarding at Thomas’s College, his vision is to create a warm, family-like environment where all pupils feel supported and empowered. A keen sportsman, James is dedicated to helping pupils make the most of their potential and strive for personal growth in all areas of their lives.

Romain Pourre has been in pastoral and academic leadership positions for over seven years and has most recently led the Teaching and Learning provision at Thomas’s Putney Vale. He obtained a degree in English Language, Literature and Civilisation, studying both in France and in Canterbury, England, and obtained his Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the Institute of Education, London. Romain is committed to enhancing the Sixth Form provision and will work strategically to maximise outcomes for all students, ensuring they achieve their full potential.

Peter showed passion for teaching before even leaving school, coaching sports from the age of 16. He graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of the West of England, Bristol and began his formal teaching career in 2014 as teacher of maths, rising to head of department, Head of cricket and Head of PSHE within five years, before moving to become Head of Social Sciences and Head of Year 11 at Kensington Park School. His love for economics has blossomed as a teacher, and he is passionate about sharing that enthusiasm with his students.

Nina Duncan obtained a degree in Modern Languages (French, Spanish and Portuguese), from the University of Nottingham, studying and working both in France and in Spain during a year abroad. Nina then further obtained her Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the Institute of Education, London. Nina has a strong passion for the development of the PSHE curriculum and aspires to foster well-rounded students who live by the values of the school and carry this into their futures.

WIth an undergraduate degree in History of Art and a Master’s in modern British History from the University of East Anglia, James specialised in the development of the British Empire, and the political developments of the 19th and 20th centuries. James gained a PGCE from Sussex University and is looking forward to teaching a broad History curriculum which looks to explore the theme that History is ‘everystory’.

Sarah holds a BA (Hons) Degree and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education in Drama. Sarah has a passion for all things creative and is excited to deliver the Drama curriculum at the College. She has been teaching for 10 years and has directed multiple shows and workshops during her career. Sarah is currently a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and is studying for an NPQ in Behaviour and Culture. Sarah is thrilled to direct productions and build a love of the arts in her students.


JAMIEHARRISON

Jamie attended The University of Birmingham, where he earned a BSc Hons in Sports and Exercise Science while playing National League Hockey. After three successful years, he completed his PGCE in Secondary Physical Education, and joined Gordon’s School in 2010 as a PE Teacher. Jamie took over the department at the end of his second year, and led it until 2018 when he took up the role as Director of Sport. In this role, he concentrated on enhancing the delivery, engagement, and reputation of the sports programme. Additionally, Jamie has held several key positions, including Deputy Housemaster for both a boarding and day house, Educational Visits Coordinator, and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Officer. A passionate advocate for sports, he firmly believes in the essential role physical activity plays in a child’s education, while also fostering valuable life experiences and transferable skills.

Tim has an extensive academic background in Theology, having received his undergraduate degree in Theology from King’s College London before undertaking postgraduate research, specialising in Paul’s canonical usage of Koine Greek in its first-century Greco-Roman context. Prior to joining Thomas’s, Tim taught Theology at undergraduate level, before obtaining a PGCE and taking on a teaching role at an independent school in north London. Tim is looking forward to continuing to develop the excellent academic provision of Theology & Philosophy at Thomas’s College.


CATHERINEMARCHANT

Catherine originally trained as an English teacher, and then whilst working in a specialist school for students with specific learning difficulties developed a keen interest in working with students with Dyslexia. She went on to achieve her Level 5 Postgraduate Certificate before completing her Level 7
Postgraduate Diploma in Dyslexia and Literacy, enabling her to complete professional assessments. She also has a Master’s Degree in Special Education (Distinction) from the Institute of Education, London. Catherine has a wealth of experience in teaching students with learning differences, having been a SENCO in both mainstream and specialist schools for a number of years. She is looking forward to ensuring that all students with learning differences at Thomas’s College receive the provision they require to succeed in all areas of school life.

Christina’s passion for art has shaped both her creative journey and her career in education. After studying in Ireland, she moved to the UK in 2015 to pursue Art teaching. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Art & Design, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Fine Art Painting, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education for Art & Design from Crawford College of Art and Design. Christina is dedicated to inspiring young artists: she fosters creativity, confidence, and innovation in the classroom. Beyond teaching, Christina has a love for travel and frequently returns to Ireland, drawing inspiration from its landscapes and reconnecting with family.


MARISAMILLIGAN

Before teaching, Marisa worked as an Assistant Clinical Psychologist at The Royal Marsden and carried out research into the effect of CBT on patients coming to the end of their treatments. After a transition into the education sector, working as a Teaching Assistant specialising in Science, Marisa qualified as a teacher completing a PGCE in Secondary Science from St. Mary’s Twickenham. She has been teaching Science for over 14 years, and has two years’ experience as the Head of Psychology. Marisa has applied her understanding of mathematical concepts within Science, to equip her with the skills required to teach Maths in addition to Science. She is dedicated to creating an engaging and inclusive learning atmosphere, with a strong passion for making mathematics both approachable and enjoyable. With a MSc in Developmental Psychopathology from Durham and a BSc in Psychology from the University of Manchester, Marisa is excited to transition over to deliver Psychology at Thomas’s College whilst still continuing to teach Science to Years 7-11

With extensive experience in language education and leadership in MFL departments, Rocío Morales Conejo is passionate about language learning and cultural exchange. She holds degrees in translation and interpreting from three universities, including two Masters, as well as a PGCE from UCL - Institute of Education. Fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Italian, she also speaks some Mandarin and is currently learning German, as part of her commitment to lifelong learning. Beyond teaching, Rocío has worked as a conference interpreter at major events, including the FIFA World Cup and United Nations COP28. She is dedicated to inspiring students and parents with a personalised approach to learning, promoting strong academic performance and a lasting passion for languages and cultures.

John Mühlemann is currently Director of Music and Head of Scholarship at Highfield and Brookham Schools, Hampshire, where he has led the 18-strong music department for 13 years. Previously he was Director of Music at Eaton House School Belgravia and a senior piano teacher at Eton College. He has also taught at Kingswood School in Bath, Dulwich College Prep School and Benenden School. John was a music scholar at St Peter’s College, Oxford. It was at university that he found his love of teaching and he has pursued this passion ever since. As a Swiss national, he loves being in the mountains and takes every opportunity to climb or ski in the alps. Other interests are the theatre, opera and cryptic crosswords

After graduating with a first class Bachelor of Science degree, Mark Nightingale worked in the corporate sector as a systems analyst. He qualified to teach IT in 2005. In 2011 Mark was awarded Advanced Skills Teacher status and Apple Distinguished Educator in recognition of his innovative use of technology and excellent teaching practice. Mark has a proven track record of teaching GCSE and A Level Computer Science in large maintained schools. Most recently Mark was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Digital Education from the University of Leeds, which supports his role as Digital Lead in Thomas’s College.

A dedicated physics teacher with 27 years’ experience, Muhsin holds an MSc in Science and Mathematics Education and a BSc in Science Education specialising in Physics from Bogazici University, Türkiye.
Throughout his career in grammar and selective independent schools, including Tonbridge, Sevenoaks and Putney High School, Muhsin has focused on leading departments, enriching STEM programs, shaping curricula, fostering a love for physics, and mentoring future scientists.
Muhsin is passionate about revealing the beauty of the mind through educational sciences and the power of the universe through physics.
Muhsin’s teaching philosophy centres on inspiring and empowering students to become lifelong learners and critical thinkers. Muhsin is expanding his leadership skills by studying for the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership, a a UK-based course designed for school leaders, an 18-month program focused on developing leadership knowledge and expertise to improve outcomes for teachers and pupils while teaching Physics at Beths Grammar School in Bexley.

Sian graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a BA (Hons) in English Literature and Italian, including a year spent in Italy on the Erasmus programme. After university, Sian completed a season as a ski instructor in Austria before undertaking her teacher training with Teach First. She is experienced and passionate about leading English curriculum design and has recently completed her NPQ in Leading Literacy. With a passion for fostering a love of language and learning, Sian believes in the power of reading to promote creativity and empathy, exposing students to new ideas and experiences beyond their own spheres. She is particularly enthusiastic about promoting oracy and reading for pleasure and has enjoyed developing engaging literacy initiatives across the school whilst sharing her love for languages, literature, and other cultures. She is excited to continue shaping and enhancing the English curriculum at the College.

Sean graduated from Newcastle University with a BSc in Zoology, after which he decided to pursue a career in education. Sean joined Thomas’s Battersea in 2014 having previously taught for several years at secondary level. His past roles have included Head of Year and Assistant Head. Sean is looking forward to being part of the next chapter in the Thomas’s story, and to expanding and developing the exciting Science offer at Thomas’s College.


SARAHTHORNE

Sarah undertook her Foundation Studies at Camberwell and her degree in Graphic Design at St Martins (UAL). Sarah spent the first part of her career as a graphic artist in the advertising industry. Sarah has a deep passion for alternative curricula in arts education. When her children were younger, she co-founded a small independent school with a strong creative ethos for early childhood education. After earning her PGCE in Design Technology from Goldsmiths, she transitioned to teaching at the secondary level. Sarah has successfully led teams in Raytheon Technologies’ FIRST Tech Challenge for robotics and enjoys pursuing hobbies like comics and blacksmithing at a Sussex forge. She is dedicated to fostering problem-solving and creative investigation skills in her students.


MARKWATERS

Mark has enjoyed a 25-year career in education where he has taught at every level from Early Years right through to Post Graduate. Qualifying with a BA (Hons) in English Literature & Drama in 1995 he initially worked with children with special needs and disabilities for a London Charity before returning to full time study to complete his PGCE. From here Mark worked as a Primary School teacher in Wimbledon and Surrey before making the leap into Higher Education with the Health Sciences University, formally the UCO. Taking on a number of roles at the institution, and completing a Master’s in Education, it was in the last of these as Director of Teaching, Learning and School Outreach that Mark became involved in Careers work, and grew to miss working with young learners. Keen to find a role where this was his main focus, he is very excited to expand this provision at Thomas’s College. Here his experience and expertise will support students from Year 7 right up to Sixth Form as they are taught and guided on how to make the best decisions for their own professional lives


GLENNLACKI

Glenn is a cross-disciplinary expert in Latin and ancient Greek languages, and in Greek and Roman art, archaeology, history, and culture. Glenn is a triple-major graduate of Oberlin College (USA) in Latin, Ancient Greek, and Medieval English Languages & Literature. He went on to earn an MSt & DPhil in Classical Languages & Literature from St Hugh’s College, Oxford, and an MSt in Classical Art & Archaeology from Somerville College, Oxford. With over two decades’ engaged with the Classics, Glenn is passionate about his subjects. He has taught for the Universities of Oxford, Reading, and Lampeter (now Trinity St David’s), and as independent tutor to students of all age-groups. Alongside teaching, Glenn has years of experience as a residential project manager, a fine art advisor, and the inaugural Director of an internationally significant Mayfair gallery specialising in ancient art.
Glenn joined Thomas’s Putney Vale in 2024 as a Latin Teacher, and is delighted to take on this expanded role at Thomas’s College. He is a committed educator, with a particular interest in mentoring students’ positive individual development, fostering their curiosity, and helping them to fulfil their academic potential.

Alison is looking forward to assisting the Director of Sixth Form in enhancing the Sixth Form provision to ensure a nurturing, meaningful and challenging experience for all students.

As EDI Lead, Lily has successfully implemented initiatives to foster inclusivity and a respectful environment for all. She is committed to ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive. Lily will continue to contribute to the pastoral team as Assistant Director of Fifth Form at Thomas’s College.

Sport has been at the heart of Thomas’s career, in his current role as Head of Cricket at Langley Park School for Boys, Thomas strives to develop not just skilled players but well-rounded individuals who value hard work, resilience, and teamwork. Thomas' experience teaching at Whitgift School and Broomwood Boys Prep has allowed him to develop athlete coaching programmes at all levels, from grassroots to national representation. Beyond cricket, Thomas takes pride in helping students grow in confidence, leadership, and discipline—qualities that serve them for life. Whether in the classroom or on the field, his goal is to inspire students to reach their full potential. Thomas is excited to start at Thomas’s College in September.

She is dedicated to broadening students’ sporting experiences while also promoting excellence and elite performance.

Kenna holds a BA in International Affairs from the University of Colorado and a Master’s in Education from Western Colorado University. Her work is rooted in place-based and outdoor education, encouraging students to connect learning to their lived environments and develop a strong sense of self.
Kenna is especially interested in helping young people discover their strengths and how they can contribute meaningfully to their communities and the wider world. She aims to cultivate curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking in her students alongside an understanding of how to build an interesting and fulfilling life. She is excited to join Thomas’s College as it continues to grow and offer a dynamic, values-led education.

Ola will conclude her PGCE in Secondary Physics with Mathematics at University College London in 2025. Ola holds a BSc in Mathematics from the Middle East Technical University.
As well as Maths and Science, Ola is passionate about travel. Ola has lived and studied in New Zealand, Egypt and Turkey. Her immersion in these countries has allowed her to experience different educational systems and learning styles.
Ola is a firm believer in the power of education to unlock potential and is looking forward to being a part of the College’s culture of striving for excellence both academically and pastorally.

With a BSc in Economics and an MSc in Development Economics, Stephanie brings a strong analytical and quantitative foundation to her teaching, enriching students’ understanding of mathematical concepts. Before transitioning into education, Stephanie built a career in finance, specialising in Trade Finance. This experience enables Stephanie to bridge the gap between theoretical mathematics and its practical applications, making learning more engaging and relevant. After earning a PGCE in Mathematics from University College London, Stephanie further refined her pedagogical approach to enhance student learning outcomes. With experience in middle leadership within the Mathematics department, Stephanie is committed to fostering a stimulating and inclusive learning environment. Passionate about making mathematics both accessible and enjoyable, Stephanie strives to empower students with the confidence and skills needed to excel.

Ben offers a wealth of real-world experience in the arts. Ben was selected to be a featured artist as part of the ‘BBC Introducing…’ programme, releasing two albums while still at university.
Ben studied music at The University of Southampton and attained a PGCE from The University of Hertfordshire in 2023.
Ben currently teaches music and drama at Claremont Fan Court School, where he runs no fewer than seven co-curricular clubs. While still early in his career, his genuine enthusiasm for teaching has made him a popular member of staff at Claremont, able to enthuse those of all abilities and backgrounds and inspire the next generation of performing artists.
Ben is excited to bring both his passion for music and drama and his love of teaching to Thomas’s.


NURIAMARTINEZ-SANTOVENA
SpanishTeacher

Nuria holds a degree in Pedagogy from the University of Oviedo (Spain), where she also completed a semester at the University of Nanterre, France, studying Science Education. After graduating, she pursued a Master’s in Gender Equality and Public Policies, which she balanced with work as a social advisor and counsellor for young people at risk of exclusion. Her passion for languages and education led her to move to London to perfect her English and explore new cultures. While living in India, she discovered her love for teaching and has continued her educational journey ever since. In 2020, she completed a second Master’s in Human Rights at the Open University of Spain. A lover of languages, gastronomy, and travel, she brings her enthusiasm for these passions into the classroom, inspiring her students to learn through cultural exploration.


JANEGRAHAM
SchoolNurse

Trained at Great Ormond Street Hospital, Jane has over 35 years’ nursing experience, many of them in trauma and intensive care. She has extensive experience of Paediatric Intensive care including the role of specialist retrieval nurse for the Children’s Acute Transport Service that saw her travelling the length of the UK to stabilise and accompany critically unstable children. Jane has advanced nursing and basic medical skills in resuscitation, all medical conditions, and trauma. She went on to teach these skills to student nurses, qualified nurses and junior doctors as the Practice educator on intensive care. This role also involved lecturing regularly at South Bank University. Jane has worked in independent schools since 2009, is a mentor for school nurses in independent schools and has worked as the nurse advisor for the Boarding Schools Association (BSA). Jane is currently on the expert advisory group for the School and Public Health Nurses Association. She is also an instructor for Qualsafe, an awarding body approved by the Health and safety executive.


ISOBELLANGWORTHY
ArtTechnician

Isobel completed a Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at Manchester School of Art with a distinction, specifically in Fashion and Textiles. She then went on to earn a BA (Hons) Degree in Textiles: Innovation and Design from Loughborough University, specialising in printed textiles and screen-printing. Now in her third year with Thomas’s, she continues to apply her expertise in textile design and oversee the pottery setup. In this role, she has particularly enjoyed running Pottery Club. Isobel is excited to continue introducing more students to the world of pottery and further nurturing their creative potential at Thomas’s College.


MAXKENT-ISAACS

Max is excited to bring his extensive portfolio of practical skills, keen eye for design, and holistic approach to education to Thomas’s College. With a BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art from The University of the Arts Leeds and two years’ experience working within Primary Special Educational Needs provision, Max understands the importance of creativity in the classroom, and the detrimental effect that a lack of practical self-expression can have on a child, of any age. In his spare time he enjoys cinema, cycling, and reading Elmore Leonard.

Karolina is a Theoretical Physicist with a strong interest in string theory. She holds an MSc in Theoretical Physics from Queen Mary University of London, where she researched scattering amplitudes in string and field theory. Karolina also completed a BSc (Hons) in Physics at the same institution.
As a Science Technician, Karolina prepares experiments and chemical solutions, maintains and safely operates specialist equipment and manages the inventory of chemicals and supplies. Karoline ensures the safe storage of all equipment and materials in compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines. Karolina actively participates in Physics lessons providing support and guidance to teachers to enhance the learning experience. She is looking forward to taking on the Senior Science technician role at the college.
Aside from all things Science, Karolina enjoys playing the piano and is interested in fashion and photography.


ALEKSANDRAMIZIKINA

A recent graduate from the Royal Veterinary College, London, Aleksandra holds a degree in Biological Sciences. She is an aspiring teacher, hoping to begin teacher training within the next few years after gaining experience working with children as a lab technician. Aleksandra was initially drawn to Thomas’s due to its commitment to fostering curiosity, resilience and social responsibility in students - all things she prioritises in raising her own child.
Driven by curiosity and a genuine desire to help shape the next generation of scientists, Aleksandra is keen to offer help and support to all students at Thomas’s College.

With over two decades experience in administration, marketing and communications, Charlotte Bowen brings a wealth of knowledge to her role as Admissions Officer. Her career spans both public and private sectors, including roles in finance, transport, architecture and education.
Charlotte is driven by a strong belief in lifelong learning and is passionate about creating a welcoming, supportive and efficient admissions experience.
Charlotte holds a degree and postgraduate qualification in Town and Country Planning from the University of Manchester and a Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma.


MARYCALDECOTT-SMITH

Mary Caldecott-Smith has over two decades of experience in education administration, communications, and client relations. Since 2012, she has served as a school Registrar, where she has overseen the full admissions process, from initial parent contact to strategic planning and data analysis. With a deep understanding of school operations, Mary plays a key role in pupil recruitment, parent engagement, event coordination, and alumni relations.


JOSHUAELMORE
MusicAdministrator

Joshua holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree as well as a Master of Music (Vocal Performance Degree - Opera) degree. He has performed in the US, the Caribbean, Europe, and the UK where he presented several recitals, premiered pieces, and has been the soloist in numerous works. Joshua made his debut in musical theatre as ‘Lola’ in a production of Kinky Boots and was recently supported vocally through the National Opera Studio’s Diverse Voices Programme. Joshua hails from Alabama and is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the music department under the direction of the Director of Music. He also works part-time at the Royal Academy of Music (RAM) as the Executive Assistant to the Dean of Students.

As an Admissions Officer at Thomas’s College, Jodie serves as a welcoming guide for prospective students and their families. With a passion for kindness, she helps applicants navigate the admissions process with clarity and care. Jodie brings a diverse background to her role, with experience in Recruitment, Health and Fitness, and a deep commitment to customer care. Her career began as a gymnastics coach, a natural progression from her time as a competitive gymnast, where she competed both nationally and internationally. Whether it be answering questions or informing families of upcoming events at the college, she strives to help every prospective family feel informed and confident in their school choice.

Librarian

Graduating with a first in English Literature from York, Rebecca then swapped to law and became a solicitor. She retired from partnership in the City with a young family, then becoming assistant librarian at a West London prep school. Having completed her MA in Library and Information Studies at UCL and volunteered at a boys’ secondary school in South London, she set up the library at Thomas’s Putney Vale. Since joining she has completed her TEFL Level 5 Diploma and has particular interest in EAL pedagogy, creative writing and information literacy training.

Before moving into the education sector, Lisa worked in finance and prior to working at Thomas’s was a School Business Manager at a state primary school. With a passion for student wellbeing, Lisa is looking forward to ensuring the smooth administration of all exams and assessments at Thomas’s College.

Born in Malaysia and raised in Surrey, Seok developed a passion for music early on, achieving an ALCM diploma in piano before pursuing a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Accounting at City University. A shift in career direction led to teaching, where Seok completed a 2 year PGCE (Secondary) in Mathematics at Greenwich University alongside a BA in Mathematics (Open). Her teaching journey led to leadership roles in London, serving as Subject Lead in Mathematics at Portland Place School, Deputy in Maths at The Harrodian School, and later, in 2008, becoming Head of Upper School Maths at Thomas’s Battersea. More recently, Seok has worked as a Learning Mentor across Thomas’s prep and senior schools, specialising in maths support and utilising her expertise from the Hornsby SpLD Diploma (Merit, 2006). Seok is looking forward to offering tailored support to help students build confidence and reach new milestones at Thomas’s College.
