Year 4 at Thomas’s is exciting, full of fun, and packed with new challenges. The lessons are a step up from Year 3, but in a really good way - it makes learning interesting and rewarding, and there’s always help when you need it. We get to do fun projects, such as Dragon’s Den where we all design our own product and pitch it to a panel of teachers, just like real business people. One of the best parts of the year is the amazing trip to PGL, where we try activities like climbing, archery and ziplining with your friends. Another highlight is our production, which is a brilliant chance to perform on stage and build confidence. This year, we did our own take on Snow White and it was amazing. In games, we are able to play a wide variety of mathces - from netball and football to cricket and hockey. It’s a brilliant year where you learn lots, make great memories, and have fun with friends along the way.”
4 PUPIL
A very warm welcome to the Middle School at Thomas’s Battersea. This exciting new chapter of your child’s life begins in Year 3, where children experience their first taste of this busy and vibrant part of the school.
Here, they continue to build on their core learning through engaging, cross-curricular topics such as ‘eco-bots’ and the exploration of ancient civilizations, designed to continuously spark curiosity and creativity. The transition into Year 4 is seamless, with a strong focus on nurturing key skills such as independence, self-efficacy and growing confidence.
Throughout their time at Thomas’s children will be prepared for 11+, 13+ and their future schools, and our commitment to providing a rich and balanced education remains steadfast.
Residential trips to our ski resort in Daheim, Austria, community enrichment projects, and a broad cocurricular offering – including art, drama, music and sport – ensure that each child continues to thrive, learn and grow in an environment full of joy, challenge and opportunity.
We are delighted to accompany your child on this exciting journey through the Middle School years and cannot wait to see them grow and achieve their full potential.
