The homeland security concentration teaches our students that homeland security is an integral part of our national defense system, our intelligence system, our emergency response system, our border security system, our private security system, and our criminal justice system.
Students will learn that homeland security is a decades-long movement that impacts American daily life and leads to changes in our political, ethical, and social discourse. It has been and continues to be a fast-growing professional employment sector in our national and international economy. Because of its continual impact on America’s political and social way of life, “homeland security” is worthy of study as an academic discipline for students. Additionally, students will benefit from the concentration because it will expose them to numerous professional opportunities within the growing criminal justice – homeland security field.

“What’s your major?” We’ll help you decide.
It seems like everyone asks this question as soon as college comes up—and let’s be honest, it can feel like a lot of pressure during an already stressful time. While having a clear plan for your future is great, many students change their major after their first year, and being undecided is perfectly okay. At Thomas College, choosing “undecided” is a choice you can feel confident about. We provide the support and environment to explore your interests while staying on track to graduate on time.
At Thomas College, we take you from “I don’t know what to choose” to “Look what I’ve accomplished.” Your curiosity, our guidance, amazing career opportunities.
