W HY VA STU? The Peace Palace has been designed and built entirely according to the timeless principles of Maharishi Vastu.

Coming from the Vedic Tradition of India, it is called Vastu or Sthapatya Veda, derived from the word sthapan, to establish.

This is architecture according to Natural Law, the principles in nature that organise everything, from our human physiology to that of all species on earth, to our entire planet, to the moon, the sun, the solar system and to the whole galactic universe.

It is the science of establishment which places the parts and the whole, the individual and the universe in perfect alliance with each other.

T M R E T R EATS Weekend Retreats are a great way to recharge your batteries and deepen your understanding of Transcendental Meditation.

Retreats run from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon with an option to extend until Monday. They are always led by certified teachers of Transcendental Meditation who are experts in ensuring you get the maximum out of your Retreat.

In addition there are fascinating recorded lectures, group meditations and plenty of opportunities for discussions and Q&A sessions with the TM teacher and you’ll get to spend time with like-minded people. Personal TM checks are also available on request.

All retreats have been designed to enhance your meditation, taking it to a much deeper level, and thereby reduce accumulated stress and tension. Participants report higher levels of energy, clarity, happiness and improved health for many months afterwards.

During the course you are introduced to ‘Rounding’ - a cycle of extended TM alongside some gentle Maharishi Yoga Asanas and a simple breathing technique (pranayama). These are all explained and demonstrated to you during the weekend.

People practising the more advanced TMSidhi programme also enjoy rounding.

The emphasis on rest is very important and we encourage you to take the opportunity to switch off and retire to a haven of comfort and tranquility away from the daily modern distractions of TV and the Internet.

T H E T M -SI DHI COURSE Once you have you been practising TM regularly for at least two months you are eligible to apply for the TM-Sidhi Programme - a simple, natural, effortless set of procedures that accelerate the personal growth and benefits gained from Transcendental Meditation.

The TM-Sidhi Programme cultures the ability to effortlessly think and act from the level of pure consciousness – a level of profound inner silence - so that all our thoughts and actions are more effective.

The most powerful aspect of this programme is Yogic Flying, which leads to the body lifting in short hops from the ground. People describe the experience of this technique as one of happiness, energy, bliss and inner freedom, with these qualities carrying over into their daily life.

Practice of the TM-Sidhi Programme creates greater brainwave coherence, which is correlated with higher levels of creativity, intelligence, and inner happiness, ultimately resulting in the development of our full potential—or the experience of higher states of consciousness.

By Train With a journey time of around 1 hour and 30 minutes from London Liverpool Street station we can arrange a courtesy pick up from Melton station. Please let us know in advance if you would like to use this service.

By Plane London Stansted is the closest airport to the Peace Palace and is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes drive. We can arrange airport transfers for you on request.

Arrival times Ideally arrive between 4-5pm for refreshments and a chance to settle in before evening meditation starting at 5pm. Alternatively aim for supper served at 7pm.

The first meeting of your course will be held at 8pm.
