Café Manager at Cadence Café Please read each point carefully. Be aware that this document will be reviewed after your first month, your first three months and half yearly ongoing as you will be held accountable to the expectations outlined.

The Role We are currently seeking a Café Manager to lead & develop a team and to run it as their own.

Key areas of responsibility • Conduct and take ownership of the general running of the cafe • Ensure the customer experience is excellent • Hire, train, supervise and develop staff • Plan budgets and rosters • Organise supply purchases, keep stock records, inventory • Manage financial side of Cafe • Plan menus with cooks or chefs • Take customer bookings • Ensure food is prepared and cooked to set company specifications • Help serve food and drinks • Undertake marketing and promotion • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed • Organise food and beverage events, promotions and advertising • Write and implement systems

Skills Proven experience in a management role in the hospitality industry is a MUST. • Vibrant, enthusiastic and cheerful personality • Passion for food, quality and making the customers love us • Collaborative attitude, adaptability and the energy and drive to always go a step closer to perfection


• Business management knowledge, including budgeting, accounting, sales and marketing skills • Knowledge of health, safety and food hygiene regulations and procedures • Good understanding of current licensing and employment laws • Knowledge of food and drink preparation and presentation • Ability to plan and organise catering for functions • Ability to set up a menu • Must have a food supervisors certificate

General 99 Know thoroughly the Cadence Café Food Safety Plan, always following the most up-to-date systems. 99 Uphold the Cadence Café core values 99 Attend daily, weekly and monthly team meetings/training and a quarterly team training session. 99 Know, understand and fulfill on the requirements in the Cadence Café Team Player Handbook. 99 Use your superb communication skills to effectively communicate with team players and participants/guests in a friendly, bubbly manner. Look for opportunities to obtain feedback, to constantly improve the Cadence Café experience. 99 Read this position description monthly to constantly remind yourself of your requirements. 99 Have immaculate, professional presentation at all times. Refer to your Cadence Café Team Contract for guidelines. Read and review your Position Description monthly. If you discover your role is changing, it is your responsibility to document the changes and present it to your Team Leader, which will be further reviewed by the General Manager and Management Team. As Cadence Café team members, we maintain a 5 star professional standard at all times, always remembering we are here for our friends. When starting a position with Cadence Café you will be on a one week, one month and 3 month trial period. Your contract may become unavailable to you at any time during your trial period.
