Race to the Honesdale Sidewalk Sales! Enjoy great deals, meals and entertainment in Honesdale during the 53rd annual Sidewalk Sales! Themed “The Honesdale 500,” this year’s sales are set to take place on Friday and Saturday, July 19 and 20. From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Downtown Honesdale’s historic Main Street will overflow with clothing, craft and gift displays. Area shops and vendors will present apparel, art, jewelry and unique goods at bargain prices. Many downtown destinations host exciting events in conjunction with the sales. The Wayne County Public Library will feature a Baubles and Books Sale on Friday and Saturday and the Wayne County Historical Society Museum will be open for tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days. The Wayne County Farmers Market will be in full swing on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Additional highlights include DJ entertainment in the Fred Miller pavilion, race car displays on Main Street, children’s activities, games and more! After the sales, Saturday’s festivities continue in Central Park, where there will be live music, an antique car cruise at 5 p.m., a Pinewood Derby (registration begins at 5:00 p.m.) at Grace Episcopal Hall, and a free, family-friendly outdoor film screening at dusk. The 53rd annual Sidewalk Sales event is sponsored by the Honesdale National Bank, with support from Wayne County Tourism.
