to send a bill on the N30,000 new national minimum wage to the National Assembly on or before January 23. Addressing journalists in

Abuja on the outcome of a meeting with the leadership of the organised labour, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige,

said the government would religiously implement all the processes that will enable it transmit the bill within the stipulated time.

He said the report on the new minimum wage would be taken to all statutory meetings of the Federal Executive Council (FEC),

Report: Nigeria’s Presidential Election Too Close to Call APC, PDP dismiss comments as hatchet job

Obinna Chima With less than 40 days to Nigeria’s presidential election, a report has predicted a very close or inconclusive poll. The 28-page report titled: “Top Risks 2019,” by the Eurasia Group, was obtained by THISDAY yesterday. The New York-based organisation pointed out that the country faces its most fiercely contested election since

the transition to democracy in 1999.
