200,000 barrels per day in December 2018 through the Egina deepwater oil field, is under threat, following a demand of $33 million by the Global Resources Free

45 Political Parties Pay Solidarity Visit to Saraki Claim FG wants to freeze Senate's account APC insists Senate president must step down Iyobosa Uwugiaren and Deji Elumoye in Abuja Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, yesterday received a morale boosting visit from 45
political parties, who went to his Three Arms Zone, Abuja office to show solidarity to him and his colleagues over Tuesday’s siege to the National Assembly Complex by the
operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS). Speaking on behalf of the 45 parties, the Chairman of National Unity Party, Chief Perry Okpara, who
condemned the siege, also claimed that the parties had it on good authority that the accounts of both the Senate and Saraki would be frozen anytime from now.
And apparently unhappy with the goodwill that the siege had brought Saraki and the federal legislature, the All Progressives Congress (APC) lashed out at the
Senate president, saying he was unfit to occupy his office and insisted that he must step down. Continued on page 8
IG Submits Interim Report on Daura to Acting President EFCC quizzes, releases ex-DG, SSS, Ekpenyong Seiyefa promises to review illegal detentions, rights abuse Iyobosa Uwugiaren in Abuja The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, has submitted to Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, an interim report on former DirectorGeneral of State Security Service (SSS), Mr. Lawal Daura, who was dismissed on Tuesday over the siege to the National Assembly by hooded operatives from the secret service.
The interim report, a copy of which THISDAY sighted, made its way to the acting president, just as unconfirmed news had it that Daura might have been released but his passport seized as further investigations were still being conducted by the police.
