perceived failure to recognise his administration's anti-graft drive. In a statement, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, said the government was still wondering the criteria used by the anti-corruption watchdog
to arrive at the judgment. The statement which added that while the government welcomes constructive criticisms from the anti-corruption watchdog, TI yet has a responsibility to reflect on the larger picture of concrete and verifiable achievements of the
administration since it came into office in May 2015. It also said TI's report that corruption is worse under Buhari's administration would be incredible to anyone who knew where Nigeria was coming from. It described the report as very
misleading and unfair conclusions in its assessment of the federal government's efforts in anticorruption crusade. Describing political will as the first major component of fighting corruption in any country, the statement said Buhari had made a

Emefiele: CBN Has Disbursed N55bn to 250,000 Farmers Under Anchor Borrowers' Programme Intervenes in Forex Market with Fresh $321.4m Obinna Chima The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, yesterday put the total amount of money disbursed under the Anchor Borrower's Programme
(ABP) in partnership with the state government and private sector group since the commencement of the programme, at N55.526 billion to over 250,000 farmers. This is coming on the heels of report that the CBN has again
intervened in the Retail Secondary Market Intervention Sales (SMIS) to the tune of $321.4 million. Emefiele stated this in his speech titled: "Engendering the Growth of Nigeria's Poultry Industry," which he delivered during the
ground-breaking ceremony of Greenfield Integrated Poultry and Powderised Egg Facility at Emure-ile, Ondo State. These set of farmers, according to the CBN Governor, have cultivated almost 300,000 hectares of farmland
for rice, wheat, maize, cotton, soybeans, cassava, etc. He said: "As you may all know, the ABP is designed to support small holder farmers by providing them with the requisite training, tools and funds at single digit
