6699 Project: Smartphone Postures

6699 is the typographical shape of quotation marks: “ and ”. This handmade zine is a collection gathered by students in the English Speaking class at Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

The theme “Smartphone Postures” was chosen by popular vote in class on Tuesday the 15th of October, 2019. It was suggested by Nanami Morisaki, and recieved a total of 17 votes.

We all use smartphones, but everyone seems to use them in different places with different postures: hunched, cross legged, lying down, sitting back... this magazine is a showcase of the postures students use their smartphones in. How do you use yours?

My smartphone I use an iPhone XR now. I have been using it since last year. I got it from Wakayama in Japan. I chose this one because it has a lot of colors. I chose the yellow iPhone from the six colors on offer. When I chose the color, I was very worried, so I asked the shopkeeper what the most popular color was. Apparently, red was the most popular. But the shopkeeper’s recommendation was yellow. That’s why I chose yellow. My yellow iPhone is very cute. It’s a little heavy, and quite big. I used an iPhone 5S for four years before I got my iPhone XR. I want an iPhone 11 because it has cute colors.

But, I won’t change my phone right away; I’ll keep this phone for a while.

Usually, I check Instagram on my smartphone. I probably use LINE the most. That’s because I keep in touch with my friends and family. My daily screen time is about three hours. I can’t live without it because I need to communicate with people.

I usually use it on the bus on the way to university. This picture was taken in OUPS. I’m looking down on my phone.

It makes my neck hurt, so I have to be careful how I use it. The reason I took this photo is because I want to know what kind of posture I always have when I use my phone.

Hori, Natsumi I love dogs. I have a pretty dog, and her name is Ann. She is four years old. She is a vegetarian. She likes cucumbers and Chinese cabbage in particular. She is a special dog in our family.

Spending on the bed I’ve been using an iPhone 6s since I was a high school student. I choose this one because it has a sophisticated design. I like it because of its usability and design. Now there is a new iPhone with a better performance sold, however, so I want to buy a new one.

I spend a large amount of time watching YouTube in my house. I have many favorite youtubers. My favorite youtuber is Roshiansato. She is a gluttonous youtuber. I like to see her eating happily. Also I like to watch videos about how to cook. Another favorite youtuber I have is Maataso.

She is a youtuber who showcases beauty cosmetics. She is from Okayama, so she speaks with a dialect, and her way of speaking is very funny.

That’s why I have to check their new videos every day. My weekly screen time is about 46 hours. I spend onethird of that time watching youtubers.

I know that I watch too much, but I cannot stop myself. I cannot live without my smartphone because I need to watch YouTube. I usually use my smartphone in bed, usually while I am sitting. I spend all my days off sitting on my bed. My bed in my room is the most relaxing space in the house.

It’s Time To Study Herbal Medicine!

This is my typical studying style.

At times like this, I study with my iPhone6s, iPad and MacBook Air. This was in the university lounge. I was learning about herbal medicine.

I usually study pharmacy with some devices to help me search. This style is very good to be able to find out what I don’t know. It suits me because I don’t know much about pharmacy, especially herbal medicine. Learning herbal medicine takes patience.

Finding a way to suit me is important to help me keep learning.

With these devices, I can not only search but also make reports, presentations and write e-mails. Most universtiy students write reports, presentations and e-mails. Every student should have these devices; they are very light and easy to carry.

In addition, they won’t disturb your university life. The main reason however is that these devices are very cool, smart and useful.

I love Apple devices very much. I use them in my life, but if a newer version is released, I’ll get it without hesitating. New versions are always more useful. I look forward to the evolution of technology.

My smartphone positions I have an iphone8 from apple. I got it from a Softbank shop near my home.

I choose this one because it was popular when I bought it. And I liked that the back of the iphone8 is made of glass.

One month ago, the camera stoped working. So I found a repair shop. I wanted it to be repaired as soon as possible, but the repair shop in Osaka couldn’t repair my smartphone by the next day. Only the repair shop in Kyoto repaired my smartphone; that’s why I went to Kyoto and had my smartphone repaired safely.

Usually I get in touch with my friends

by LINE. Sometimes I use maps, coupon apps, or twitter. I probably use YouTube the most. That’s because I can see the programs I missed on TV. My weekly screen time is about 45 hours... so my daily screen time is about 6 and a half hours. I can’t live without it because I need to get in touch with my friends and to watch YouTube!

I usually use my phone sitting.

Sometimes I use it in my bed. This picture was taken on a chair. I was sitting in a relaxed manne. The reason I took this photo is because this position is the most fit for me when I sit in a chair and use my smartphone.

Inada, Hiroaki I’m Hiroaki Inada, from Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences. I’m from Daito city in Osaka; it’s famous for Osaka Toin High School.

My Essential Possession I use an iPhone XR. Recently a new model, the iPhone 11, was released and XR is the latest model relatively.

XR has a bigger screen than the X and this is good for watching movies and youtube videos. But this size is too big and it is difficult to operate with one hand. The iPhone is useful and suits me, so I will continue using it.

I use my smartphone on the train, bus, at home, before bed, and in the bath room. I use it anywhere and anytime. I found that I spend about half a day on my iPhone when I checked my screen time. Amazing! At university, the only time I never use my smartphone is when I’m talking to people. I like talking to people and I talk about trivial matters and laugh with my friends.

This time is important for me.

I listening to music on my smartphone.

I love music and often use CD Reco and Spotify. In CD Reco I listen to music from CDs. In Spotify, I listen to Western music. I listen to music everyday, so that’s why I took this picture. How about you? Do you listen to music with the volume turned up?

Kajikuri, Miku I’m Miku Kajikuri, from Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences. I belong to the dance club at our university.

I love dancing, singing and listening to music.

I want a new Smartphone I still use an iPhone 6s. It was new type of iPhone at that time I bought it. I want to buy a new smartphone soon, because my smartphone is unwell recently. The battery runs out a minute, so I can’t go out without my charger. If I buy a new smartphone, I want to buy smartphone that lasts for a long time.

I always use my smartphone. In particular, I watch Youtube on my smartphone. For example, I watch animal videos, live gaming, and music videos. Watching videos is my daily routine, and it releives stress.

Sometimes, I also play smartphone games. I often play games on my way to school to pass the time.

Besides this, I probably use Twitter and Instagram. I can get a lot of information about my favorite things on them. That’s what sucks up most of my time. I’m frightened I can’t live without my smartphone. I usually use my smartphone in my room. I also use it everywhere, and I like to use it before bed. It feels as if my fatigue flys away.

Please look this picture. There are a few reasons that I chose this pose. I always do this posture, while I wait for the train. It’s easy to balance the body in this posture. So I don’t get tired. It is good posture for those who are tired and waiting for the train. What do you think?

Where I use my iPhone I have an iPhone 8 Plus. I got it in March, 2018. I bought this phone just when I was admitted to Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences. I chose this one because it has a high-performance camera. I was using an iPhone 5s, so an iPhone 8 Plus is too heavy and my arm feels sluggish when I call people.

Last time I checked, I spend about 3 hours a day on my iPhone. Usually, I take pictures and talk with my friends and listen to music on my smartphone.

I frequently oversleep, so it is very important that I send a LINE message which tells that I’ve missed my train.

And I like looking at old pictures on my iPhone.

I use my smartphone on the train, before bed, and after dinner. I use my smartphone on the train the most.

This picture was taken on the train by my friend. I take the train for an hour every morning, so I use my smartphone for about two hours every day in the train to and from university. I want to spend this time reading books or learning pharmacy and not wasting my time on such things as LINE, Instagram,Twitter, and so on.

Using my iPhone in my kotatsu I have been using an iPhone7 with docomo for about two years. I take care of it too much, so there are no problems with it. Next year however, when the generation 5 service has started, I will change my iPhone7 for a SE2 (This is the new Apple smartphone) which will probably start next spring. The 5G network is faster compared to the 4G, but the 4Gs will keep up with the 5G phones.

On my smartphone, I usually listen to music, watching youtubers, check SNS and play games. Today I was surprised by the display alert, “Your previous daily smartphone screen time was 8h4m”. This is unbelievable for me.

Maybe, it’s because I’ve been listening to music while studying. This means that I cannot live without smartphone.

I’ll take this as an opportunity to start reducing my screen time and look for another enjoyable hobby that has nothing to do with my smartphone.

I usually use my smartphone anywhere comfortable; especially in my kotatsu, the most comfortable position.

Comfortable position like this picture probably increase my smartphone screen time. If I continue this habit, I will always be a single guy. I chose this picture to warn myself.

Kono, Ryota My name is Ryota Kono.

Smartphone For Me I have an iPhone8 from au. I got it from Tottori. I have used it for three years.

I chose this one because it felt good. I cracked the screen many times.

Usually, I listen to music, watch baseball games, read comics and use LINE on my smartphone. I probably use LINE and Music FM the most.

That’s because I talk with my friends and like to listen to music. My favorite singers are Aiko and Official HIGE DANdism.

I use Sportsbull the second most. I like highschool baseball and college baseball, so I often watch the games on Sportsbull when I can’t go to the stadium. This app shows the ball type for every ball. Also, I can watch player interviews. I enjoy baseball on it. I sometimes use LINE Manga. I can read comics for free on it.

My daily screen time is about three hours but the time increases on days I watch baseball games. I can’t live without my smartphone because the iPhone is necessary to me.

I use an iPhone8. I got it last week.

Actually, I washed my iPhone by mistake last week. I panicked. I thought I had to dry it, so I used a hair dryer, and pressed the button to try to remove water from my iPhone. But both actions were things I shouldn’t do, so my iPhone didn’t turn on. That’s why I got a new phone. I was so sad.

Last time I checked, I spend about two hours a day on my phone. For me, I think that’s quite short. I thought I spend more time on my iPhone.

I often use Instagram and LINE. I check out good restaurants, cooking recipies, sight seeing spots and more on Instagram. Recently, I’m getting into YouTube, so I spend a lot time to watching it. My recent favorite YouTuber is Haruan. She is good at cooking and also so cute!

I use my smartphone at home, either sitting or lying down on the sofa right after I get home. I fall asleep without realizing it too. I don’t use my smartphone when I’m talking to my friends. It doesn’t feel good using my phone with my friends so I use it only when I’m alone or in class.

Maita, Kanon I’m from Nara. I live in a boarding house near the university. I’m in the school’s rock band and I play the drums.

How I use my smartphone I have a iPhone 8 from apple. I got it two years ago. I chose this one because it was the latest thing at the time. The newest phone however, is the iPhone 11. I think it’s quite new.

For the first time in many years, I checked my screen time. This iPhone function lets me check my daily and weekly iPhone screen time. I spend about four hours a day on my phone.

I was surprised at this time. I use my phone more than I thought. The app that I used the most is Instagram.

That’s because I search for and discover a variety of places to go. I want to visit them all.

On the other hand smartphones have good and bad aspects. Recently, there are more and more people who become addicted to their smartphones. I think I can use my smartphones more effectively after understanding both the good and bad aspects.

The reason I took this photo is because I think I use this position the most. I use my smartphones on the train. Recently, I see many people who use their smartphones while walking.

That’s dangerous because accidents happen. But I also do same thing sometimes. I think I should put my smartphone away while I’m walking.

Matsumoto, Kanae Hi! My name is Kanae Matsumoto. I’m a second year student at Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

I live in Suita. It’s famous for the Tower of the Sun. Please come and visit sometime.

I use an iPhone 8 now because it looks cool. The reason why I chose this model is because it feels comfortable to use.

I use my smartphone for six hours a day. I think it’s wasteful to use it for a quarter of the day, but it is important for me to get in touch with others.I need Line to contact with my friends, especially. I hardly ever use games on my smartphone, but I am obsessed with YouTube and Manga.

I often look at my smartphone at home. I took this picture lying down on the bed. I often watch YouTube and read manga while lying down on the bed. I like to read manga, so I lay down in a comfortable posture to make it easier to read. YouTube is very interesting of course, but when the video is long, I often feel like it was a waste of time. There are many apps I need to live comfortably and enjoy my life, however.

Matsushima, Takeru Either my face is too wide or I’m useless when it comes to photography, so you can’t see my whole face. Aside from that, people often tell me I’m a weird person. Am I weird? No: I’m ordinary.

I’m gonna prove to you that I’m an ordinary person by introducing myself.

I’m Takeru Matsushima. I was born in Hyogo but brought up in Hiroshima. I’ve been playing soccer since I was eleven. I don’t have a favorite food in particular but I’ll eat anything as long as it tastes good. I am always playing Videos games like Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, and I rarely study. The game went on sale on September 6th and my total play time is already about 480 hours. It’s a very fun game.

My necessity I use an iPhone 7. I got it back in 2017, so it is a little bit slow. I’ll change my iPhone 7 to a new one soon.

Usually, I watch YouTube on my smartphone. I use my smartphone all day in my free time. This app has a function which shows you recommended videos one after the other. Because I watch all the videos, I sometimes use my smartphone for 10 hours a day. I was very surprised to learn this!

I also use my smartphone for contacts.

I send messages to my parents, my friends, my club seniors, and so on. I often send more than 100 messages a day. If I don’t have my smartphone, I can’t contact and communicate with them.

My smartphone usage style I have an iPhone 6S with docomo. I got it when I was a high school student.

I chose this one because it was the most recent type at that time.

I often use my smartphone. Usually, I often use LINE on my smartphone, because communication with people is important, and it’s an easy-to-use app. I also often check instagram when I’m free. It is fun to look at fashionable cafes and restaurants posted by various people and find the shops I want to go. Recently, I’m addicted to watching YouTube and I’ve been watching it for about two hours a day.

My favorite YouTuber right now is called Sankoichi. It is a group of two boys and one girl.

I use my smartphone wherever I am. I often use my smartphone on the bus and train because it’s helps me kill time. I also often use my smartphone in my house, on the bed, or even on the toilet. But when I am with my friends and my family, I don’t use my smartphone much because I want to enjoy the conversation with them.

Finally, I checked how much I use my smartphone, and I noticed that I use my smartphone for six hours a day. I realized that this is too much.

Nagano, Miyabi My name is Miyabi Nagano.

I’m a second year student studying pharmacy at Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences. I belong to the folk song club; I’m the vocalist and I play the guitar too.

No sofa, no life My smartphone’s model is an iPhone 8. I got it last year. I went to the au shop with my father and he bought it for me. I was very happy because the smartphone I was using before was broken and I wanted to get an iPhone8.

The reason that I chose the iPhone8 was because I like its color. It’s red and it was the latest color at that time. I really wanted to get it, so I was glad when I did.

My favorite app is Instagram. It’s an SNS app which people from all over the world know and many of them use. Users can share the photos and movies they take. We can see various photographs, for example, food dishes, landscapes or photos taken with friends, and so on. I like the pictures, because I like taking pictures myself.

When I visit places which I have never been, I want to take pictures for the record. Sometimes I take dishes.

That’s why I like Instagram, so I can share a lot of pictures I like.

I turn off my alarm on my smartphone the first thing in the morning every day, so my daily life begins with my smartphone. It’s natural that I use it in other various situations. Among them, using it on the sofa in my house is my favorite situation especially. I like checking Instagram on my smartphone on the sofa and I don’t like to be disturbed.

Nakagawa, Erika I’m Erika Nakagawa. My birthday is May 3rd; that’s Constitution Day in Japan.

My smartphone position I have iphone 8 from au. I’ve been using this smartphone for two years. It’s cool and useful. That’s why I chose this one.

I probably use LINE the most, that is because I always make contact with my friends. I can not live without it because I need to LINE. I usually use it in my house. I especially use it in my house on the bed. My smartphone positions is on the bed.

I use smartphone for three or four hours a day on average. One hours is in bed. I usually watch YouTube and play smartphone games and listen to music in bed. Sometimes, I fall sleep while using smartphone and my smartphone battery sometimes dies in the morning. Then, I give up all hope.

And one other thing, I am always severely sleep deprived because I sit up late all night and I use smartphone in bed. As a result, my learning ability is gradually declining. I took this picture in bed. There are two reasons I took this photo. Firstly, this is a regular sight. Secondly, I want to reduce the sight of this smartphone positions as much as possible. I want to make the most of my time in other ways.

Nakagawa, Hakuto I am a student at Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences. I am 20 years old.

My Smartphone Potion I use an iPhone X. I got it back in 2017.

It’s very high spec. It can take clear pictures and use animoji (that’s a new function on the iPhone, with animated emojis). I chose this one because I want to use the animoji. It focuses on my face and moves the emoji according to my face. It’s interesting, but I don’t use the function now.

Last time I checked, I spend about five hours a day on my iPhone. It’s a very long time; the reason is YouTube.

We can watch videos for free. I like watching someone else playing video games on YouTube. I didn’t notice that I was watching the videos for such a long time. I often use Apple Music.

I download songs I want to listen to from the iTunes Store. A song cost 255 yen. Recently, it rose in price with the tax increase. It is a little expensive, but the function is very convenient.

I can’t live without it because I need to make contact with my family and friends. I use my smartphone anytime and anywhere. This picture was taken in the classroom at OUPS. The reason I took the photo is because my smartphone has a smartphone case. I don’t want to break it. It is not cheap.

My Smartphone Position I have an iPhone8 from apple. I got it from docomo. I choose this one because it was the most popular when I bought it. iPhone8s can take good quality pictures and they run well.

It not only has great performance but also a great design. So, I love my iPhone8.

Usually, I get in touch with my friends by using LINE on my smartphone.

Sometimes I use maps, app games, Instagram, and Twitter. I probably use YouTube the most. That’s because it shows me many interesting videos. I often watch cooking videos, people playing video games, and music videos. I often use in my bed.

My weekly screen time is about 50 hours, so my daily screen time is about seven hours. Way too long! That’s because I live in a boarding house and I don’t have a TV, radio, or a music player.

My smartphone is all purpose, however. It replaces the TV, radio, camera, music player, and even the PC. So, I always need it. I can’t live without it.

Nishimoto, Yu I’m Yu Nishimoto from Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences. I’m from Kawachinagano city in Osaka. It’s famous for Tsumayouji. My hobby is playing rugby.

This picture is my smartphone position. I always use this smartphone stand. It is very useful. I don’t use my hands. I only use my voice. I love this smartphone stand. Thank you for reading.

iPhones change the way you live, but iPads change your life I got my iPhone when I passed the university entrance examination, and still use it today (mine is an iPhone7).

The reason for buying an iPhone was that I already I had an iPad. You might know, but iPhone and iPad have good compatibility. Why? Because they use the same OS (the installed OS).

Let’s consider each application! I use my iPhone when: for example, when I can’t use my iPad at the station or when I want to tether and use the Internet on another device. I use my iPad when: there are many uses for the iPad. As some often say, “Macs change the way you work, iPhones change the way you live, but iPads change your life.” This is true, absolutely true.

At this university, I use my iPad and the Apple pencil to take notes, do research and browse the web. It’s a better choice than using an iPhone.

Generally, I don’t have many opportunities to use my iPhone. I’m reading a new article in this picture.

When I use my devices (the iPad and iPhone), I’m usually playing, studying, working... etc. This is my life. If I can’t do these, I may not be able to live.

However, I’d like to experience a world where people around the world DON’T use electric devices.

My posture using my smartphone I use an iPhone8 red from apple. I got it back in the spring of 2018. The film on the screen is cracked. I like it because it has a large capacity in addition to fingerprint authentication.

I always use my smartphone; waking up, on the bus, with breakfast, doing research, before sleep, during meals‌ Usually, I use LINE, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and play games on my smartphone. The app I use the most is YouTube. My favorite YouTubers are Pao Pao Channel and Tokai On Air. My daily screen time is about seven hours.

I can’t live without it because I need to communicate with my parents and my friends. And also waste time.

I usually use my smartphone on my bed. I always lie on my bed and use it. This picture was taken in class at Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Most of the time, I sit down and use it with crossed legs, because in this posture I can relax.

Smartphones are essential for our lives I use an iPhoneXR now because my old smartphone broke this year. The reason why I chose this model was so I could use it comfortably, and also because the image quality of the camera is better than my old iPhone.

And people around me use an iPhone.

So, I was influenced by people around me and decided to buy one.

I use smartphone for four hours a day. I think it’s wasteful to use my smartphone for about one sixth of the day. However, I use my smartphone without worrying about the time. What makes me want to use it? I think it is LINE and YouTube. YouTube is very interesting, but if it’s a long video, I often feel that I have been wasting time. But there are some apps I need to make my life easier.

I often use LINE on my smartphone.

LINE is necessary for me to connect with my friends. I also like listening to music using the app Apple Music. So I think this is also necessary. I can’t live without my smartphone.

I often use my smartphone at home or on the train. I use both hands when I hold my smartphone. Sometimes I use one hand. You can see that in the photo. Although it may be an ordinary way to hold it, I can type letters quickly.

However, when the train is crowded, I hold it with one hand. So I change the way I hold it depending on where I am.

Smartphones are essential for our life because we can use them anywhere.

Shiba, Asuka My name is Asuka Shiba. I like Disney very much. Recently, I play Animal Crossing on my smartphone. We can make our own avatars, and our own original camps by arranging the furniture ourselves. This is my camp.

Lately it has become a little bit slow however, so I want to buy a new, different type of smartphone. I want an iPhone 11, because the iPhone 11’s camera functions takes clearer pictures than my current iPhone’s one.

Usually, I check out Twitter and Instagram on my smartphone. Because I check out them every day, it has become a habit. Recently, my favorite thing to do on my smartphone is watch YouTube. My favorite YouTubers are Mizutamaribond and Tokaionair. They are both of funny and make me laugh, so I feel happy. Thanks to them, I’m in a good mood every day, so I can’t live without them.

Let me tell you about this picture.

It was taken in school in my usual position with my smartphone. I use my smartphone in the same position on a train or a bus too. Sometimes when I’m tired of using my smartphone sitting at home, I use it lying down. However, I usually sit when I use it because I don’t want my eyes to become worse.

My iPhone I use an iPhone XS. I got it last year. I was using an android before then. The reason why I switched from android to iOS, was that they iPhone has an excellent camera function, air-drop capability, and most people around me use an iPhone. But there were many reasons I wanted to switch to an iPhone.

I’m on my smartphone for an average of three and a half hours a day, most of which are on LINE or Instagram. It’s amazing for me to check Instagram for such a long time. It takes me about three hours to go back and forth from school everyday, during which time I often use my smartphone, but I found that I spent most of my time on Instagram. I think I should use this time a little more effectively.

Aside from the train, I use my smartphone while watching TV, playing with my dog at home, during school breaks and in class. Though I check my smartphone in many places, I never use my smartphone while walking for the reason that it’s very dangerous.

That’s why l sit or lie down when I use my phone.

My smartphone position I use an iPhone7 from Apple. I got it three years ago. I choose this one because it was the newest model at that time. I can use my iPhone without problems but its battery drains quickly these days. So I want to change my smartphone: I want to buy an iPhone 11.

Last time I checked, I spend about five hours a day on my iPhone. I was surprised to learn that. I think it’s too much. I think I have to reduce the time I’m on my iPhone. I use Instagram the most. I can see friends’ and famous person’s pictures and videos. I enjoy checking various people’s post. I can’t live without my smartphone because I get a lot of information from it and keep in touch with my family and my friends. My family and high school friends live in Okayama. We live very far apart, but thanks to our smartphones, we can LINE each other and make phone calls.

My phone and my feet I have a iPhone8 from Apple. I got it from my neighborhood SoftBank. I chose this one because it was new model at the time. It’s been about a year since I bought it.

Usually, I play games on my smartphone. I probably use Pazudora the most. That’s because it’s very interesting. Pazudora is a type of puzzle game. The player teams up with five monsters, and it contains training elements.

My daily screen time is about six and a half hours. I regretted that my daily screen time is so long. But, I think that I cannot live without it because I need to play games! This may seem exaggerated, but playing games helps me to forget bad memories.

I usually use my phone in my room. This picture was taken in the canteen. I was sitting on a chair and holding my phone with my feet. The reason I took this picture is because I am far-sighted.

So, I need to see my phone from a distance. I could hold it with my hands, but if I hold it at length with my hands, they get tired. That’s why I invented this method of holding my phone with my feet.

My smartphone is no longer an organ!

I am using an iPhone8. I handle it very carefully, and never leave it alone.

When I’m studying, eating, sleeping, going to the bathroom, or even taking a bath, I keep my iPhone in a position where I can reach it. My smartphone is no longer an organ!

On average I spend about 8 hours a day on my phone. Some days I use it for 15 hours, but I don’t think it is too much.

No matter how much time I have, I play games, use YouTube, SNS, and Amazon Prime. It’s unimaginable how people spent their time without smartphones.Thanks to my smartphone, I can get more information in a shorter time.

Some people have the idea that smartphones are a waste of time, but if I don’t have a smartphone, I think it will take a tremendous amount of time to do what I am doing now.

I mainly use my smartphone while sitting. I also often use it not in portrait mode, but sideways. So I can use it with my hands instead of putting it on my desk.Since I lift it all the time, my muscles may be pretty buff in 5 years!

Simple position I use an iPhone 7. I got it last year, from an Apple store in Shinsaibashi.

The reason I choose this one is that this model was the most reasonable choice in stock in this store.

I usually use Yahoo! on my smartphone.

That’s because I use Yahoo! to watch Youtube. When I watch Youtube I feel so happy. Last time I checked, I spend about three and half hours a day on my phone. Most of this time is Youtube, which is nearly two hours.

I use my smartphone on the train, while eating food; almost everywhere. But I decided not to use my smartphone before bed, because I heard that the smartphone’s light prevents us from sleeping. I think that sleeping is very important to us. So I don’t want to be prevented from sleeping by my smartphone.

My position when I use my smartphone is usually sitting. I think probably this is the most easy position. I don’t like lying down and using my smartphone even if I have my head up. I hate stiff shoulders. It makes my mind irritated.

So I use it in this position to keep an easy mind.

Me and my funny friends!!!

I use an Android phone. I like it. The reason that I am hooked on it is because I can store my data on a microSD card. If our phones die, nonAndroid phones will lose their data if there was no back up on a computer.

But Android phones don’t lose their data, because Android phones have a microSD card in them. I am thankful for this function. That’s why l recommend Android phones!

Last time I checked, I spend about 1.5 to 2 hours a day on my Android phone. There are three reasons; first, I like talking with my family, relatives and friends. Secondly, I am not good at playing games on Android phones.

Thirdly, I hardly ever watch YouTube.

I probably use my camera the most.

That’s because I like to take pictures of beautiful views; for example, the sky, flowers, night views and memories with my family, relatives and friends.

And I like looking back through them.

I use albums about the same as I use pictures. But there are things that other phones can do that Androids can’t. I’m sure I will be fine if Android phones disappear from the world!

Torii, Misa My name is Misa Torii. I’m a 2nd year student at Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences. I like laughing and talking.

Smartphones are convenient Everybody should have their own smartphone. l bought an iphone6 from SoftBank when I was high school student. At that time, the high school I went to banned bringing your smartphones to school, so I did not have any time to use my smartphone during my high school days. As soon as l graduated from high school, l started using my smartphone often. That’s because it’s very convenient and kills time. For example, I use SNS, maps, pictures and so on. In particular, l often use LINE and Instagram. I can get touch with my friends and parents everywhere and anytime.

And, I usually use my smartphone on the train and at home. For example, I often listen to the music on the train.

So I need earphones. I also often watch YouTube at home. Recently, there are many types Youtubers, so we can enjoy it without getting bored.

My smartphone position is leaning forward and lying down mostly. When I lie down and watch movies and videos from YouTube, I often drop my smartphone often on my face.

Everytime it falls, I decide I should not lie down and use it. But I can’t stop myself because the posture is very comfortable and easy.

I have an iPhone Xs from Apple. I got it back in 2017. I’m from Okayama, so I got it from there. I chose this one because it was a new model then. It’s white, and it’s very cute.

Last time I checked, I spend about five hours a day on my smartphone.

Usually, I watch YouTube on my smartphone. I spent about two hours a day watching YouTube. My favorite Youtuber is Kiyo. He belongs to Saishuheiki Oretachi. He is very funny person. My favorite video of his is Aooni. He played the game at 10x speed. It looks very difficult.

When I watch videos, I use my smartphone in this position (like the photo). I usually use at university or in my home. This picture was taken in English class. I was holding my smartphone high. The reason I took this picture is because it is easy to watch movies, but this position has a weak point. It’s easy to drop my smartphone.

I can’t live without my smartphone because I need to watch YouTube.

Watching YouTube is my habit. My favorite YouTubers are Sushi Ramen Riku, Chihaya, and Van-Yun. I want everyone to watch their videos if you have some free time. They’re very interesting!

My Smartphone My smartphone is an iPhone from apple. I bought this iPhone in March, 2019. I didn’t have enough for a 4G, so I bought it with my own money.The apps I use the most are Instgram and then YouTube.

I want to buy an iPhone X.Because I heard that the iPhone X has a good camera function. Also we can do facial authenication. But I chose an iPhone7.

This is because the iPhone X was too expensive and heavy. I was using this iPhone for an average of five hours a day last week, and I’ve been using it for an average of 3 hours a day this week.Before I bought this iPhone, I had an iPhone6 for two years. However I bought a new one because it didn’t have enough capacity.

I used the iPhone5c before that, but it became very inconvenient. I bought this iPhone case at Okayama station for 700 yen, but I’d like to buy it again because it’s become so loose.

I want to save money and buy a new iPhone case. This iPhone is a 4G and sometimes it’s too slow to dowload at the end of the month. I’ve changed my life now I’m living alone so that I can download quicker.

My smartphone, my life I have an iPhone8 from Softbank.

The latest smartphone iso version is 13.2.2, but my smartphone’s version is 11.4. If I update my smartphone’s version, I probably won’t be able to use it for a while. I’ll never update it, to be honest.

I got my iPhone from a Softbank mobile phone shop. I chose this one because the iPhone is so multifunctional. My smartphone has a data limit of 50GB and there are many types of games in the Apple store, for example. In contrast, Android seems difficult to use because I often see my parents having trouble using their Androids.

Usually, I play games and get it touch my friends on my smartphone. I probably play FGO (Fate Grand Order) the most, because I have a lot of free time. Recently, I play the games on my PS4, so I don’t play smartphone games.

I usually use my smartphone in my house because I can relax in my room.

I until use an iphone6, which is an Apple phone. It was a present from my parents for entering high school.

I often lose important thing, like my house key, for example. Recently, I lost a very expensive ring. However, I’ve kept my iphone for over 7 years now.

When I am free, I use the Amazon Prime video app and watch a few movies and dramas while eating sacks all day. I enjoy this time because I can watch movies in my favorite position without going to the cinema.

When I’m at home, I often use my iphone while lying on my bed. I sometimes fall asleep when I’m using it. That’s why my the battery is not fully charged in the morning.

I looked up my weekly iPhone screen time. I use it for about 4 hours a day. I love listening to music. I use earphones and listen to my favorite artist’s songs in the trains and on buses going to school.

In a week, I rarely have a day where I use my iphone for only the necessary minimum. On those days, I read books and go for a run outside. It feels like I spend that time slowly. During the night, I sleep deeply and wake up naturally without feeling tired.

I bought it when I was a junior high school student, and I have used it for six years. However, it’s still going strong and I haven’t cracked the screen.

I usually use my smartphone with my elbows on the table. This posture has a sense of stability and I can look at it at the same height as my eyes. On the other hand, I don’t like lying down and using it because I get a pain in my neck and it’s difficult to look at the screen without the space.

I use my smartphone on the train, when I’m having breakfast, watching TV and getting in touch with my family, listening to music, and checking Twitter every day. I use LINE the most, especially. That’s because I can get in touch with my family and friends using it and speak with many people online.

Now I want to use Instagram because I can research various restaurants and coffee shops and I can also see photos or videos of food. Recently, I checked my daily screen time and found that I spend about four hours a day on my phone. I think this is too much time.

I’ll try to reduce the amount of time I spend in using my smartphone.

On the desks at OUPS I still use an iPhone 5s. I got it back in 2015, and it’s still going strong (I take good care of it too). I’m a Mac user, so the iPhone seemed a good choice at the time. It’s quite high spec, so it never gets full.

Last time I checked, I spend about 3 hours a day on my iPhone. For me, I think that’s too much. I should only be spending about an hour a day, max… the problem is Youtube.

Having a smartphone is like having a little television in your pocket, so as soon as I get home I put it on. I watch youtubers, comedy specials and news from around the world. That’s what sucks up most of my time. I swear I could live without the smartphone, because on the days where I forget it, I feel peacefully happy.

I use my smartphone in the train, before bed, with breakfast, on the toilet; almost everywhere. The only place I never use my smartphone is when I’m talking to people. I like talking to people and I don’t like people who use their smartphones when you’re having a conversation with them.
