Steve Ballmer is an American businessman who is the current owner of the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association and the former CEO of Microsoft. From January 2000 to February 2014, Steven Anthony "Steve" Ballmer was the CEO of Microsoft. He worked for Microsoft for the 몭rst 34 years of his career. Steve Ballmer Early Life Steve Ballmer was born on March 24, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan, to Frederic Henry Ballmer and Beatrice Dworkin. Shelly is his only sibling. His father was a powerful executive at Ford Motor Company. At such a young age, Steve Ballmer has had a prosperous life.

He grew up in Farmington Hills, Michigan, and attended Detroit Country Day School, a private college preparatory school in Beverly Hills, Michigan. During his high school years, he took advanced college prep courses at Lawrence Technological University. He graduated from Detroit Country Day School as valedictorian.He went on to Harvard University, where he met and befriended Bill Gates. During his time at Harvard, he managed the Harvard Crimson football team and worked for both the Harvard Crimson and the Harvard Advocate newspapers.

Ballmer moved to Hollywood after a brief stint at Procter & Gamble and attempted to write screenplays. He eventually stopped writing in order to focus on his studies at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He did not complete the next stage of his education because Bill Gates hired him as a business manager when Microsoft was founded.

Steve Ballmer Career, A Pinnacle of Business Leadership Although Steve Ballmer's resume is lacking in employers, he has decades of experience and respectable job titles. He looked for the right job for a few years after graduating from college. He'd found a home at Microsoft by 1980.

Procter & Gamble Ballmer worked as an Assistant Product Manager for Procter & Gamble for two years after graduating. Je몭 Immelt, the future CEO of GE, shared an o몭ce with him.

Microsoft Ballmer dropped out of Stanford Graduate School of Business on June 11, 1980, after a brief artistic period writing screenplays in Hollywood, to accept an o몭er from Bill Gates to join Microsoft as the company's 30th employee. Gates hired him as his 몭rst business manager.

8% Stock Holder Ballmer was instrumental in reorganising Microsoft after its incorporation in 1981.

As part of the stock creation process, he received 8% of the company's holdings. He held on to all of his shares until 2003, when he sold 39.3 million of them. It reduced his share of the company to 4%, which he still owns today.

Operating System Development Head in the 1980s Ballmer led a team of developers working on an operating system for a contract with IBM during Microsoft's rise to be a technological behemoth. It was the catalyst for the creation of MS-DOS and, later, Microsoft Windows.
