The FD Scholarship Fundraising Campaign The New York State Honorary Fire Chiefs Association

Hello members, friends, and supporters.

This year we were given the incredible honor of becoming Honorary Chiefs and are 100% supportive of its mission to provide scholarships to firefighters and their children.

Did you know that the average salary of a firefighter in New York State is only $49,850?

That statistic really stunned us into action.

We truly feel that firefighters are some of the most heroic and self-sacrificing individuals on the planet and we want to do everything we can, not only to help but to show our undying gratitude and love to each and every firefighter and their families.

We have been incredibly moved to hear firsthand accounts of how much this program has helped firefighters and their families and we are so grateful to have the opportunity to appeal to you now.

Your donation helps make our firefighters the BRAVEST and the SMARTEST!

We provide scholarships to firefighters children Each year we receive over 2000 applications for scholarships from children of NYS firefighters.

The goal of this campaign is to raise a minimum of $500,000 with 100% of donations going to scholarships. If we reach this objective it will allow us to fund over 160 scholarships.

We think this is a modest goal and with your support we can do it, and hopefully more.

NYSHFCA HISTORY: Since 1950 we have been honored with a wide range of members including Mayors, CEO’s and celebrities. Member support funds the day-to-day operations of our organization which allows for 100% of your donation to go to scholarships. If you have interest in joining our organization please contact us.

On February 12, 1982, his holiness Pope John Paul II was made an Honorary New York State Fire Chief by Frank Allen, past President of the Association.
