“My mom used to play Anita Baker’s music a lot, but everything changed when I heard Debra Cox's song "Nobody's Supposed to Be Here," particularly the line, "How Did U Get Here." That moment helped me discover my own voice, and I began singing all the time. When my parents heard me sing that song, they couldn’t believe it Even though I was shy at the time, my parents would often ask me to sing when we had company over.”
“These days, I find time to sing and write after work. Whenever an idea pops into my mind, I text it to myself to revisit later. Some songs come to me naturally as soon as I hear them, and I’ve never fully understood why, but I know I need and want to record them The melodies are rooted in my emotions and soul, reflecting what the music speaks to me.”
“I have purposely waited to release my music due to a lack of confidence, I suppose. Considering the music that is being released today, I wasn't sure if I fit in. Now, I am certain that my music, which comes from the soul, is meant for everyone.”
While describing her debut single, "Gotta Be Honest", Tiara says, “the song was inspired by a beat that stemmed from personal experiences, and the lyrics came to me quite naturally.” In this song, I address someone who continually plays with my feelings while expecting me to remain faithful. “I often write lyrics while hearing a melody that stems from my emotions at that moment. Whether I'm in my car or contemplating what's next in my life, it just happens," she explains.
