''THIS PLACE WILL OUTLAST US." When we say ‘in perpetuity’ at The Woodlands, we mean more than until death do us part. The cemetery serves as a space for the celebration of life, love, nature, family, and history. In order to continue this work into the future, The Woodlands needs its community to support its continued care and preservation. The Woodlands is an asset to neighbors for more than just recreation—people choose this space to be both their permanent resting place and where their family comes together to celebrate loved ones for generations. Families today enjoy these 54 acres in much the same way as intended at the founding of the cemetery in 1840— walking, picnicking with family, escaping the noise of the city, gardening, and admiring vibrant fall foliage before winter arrives. We are invested in using the layered history of The Woodlands to inspire our aspirational future. It is your belief in the importance of this remarkable place that allows us to continue our critical operations. COMMUNITY
Critical infrastructure upgrades continue to transform The Woodlands into an ideal community gathering space for public programs, private events, and daily neighborhood use. 1 The Grave Gardens flourish in every season, with 150+ Volunteer Grave Gardeners, inspiring cemeteries across the country since the program’s founding in 2016.
