Join us for a guided tasting of wines from some of the region’s most iconic producers: Bodegas Féliz Callejo, Compañia Vinícola Solterra, Bodegas Hns. Páramo Arroyo and Bodegas Vitulia, (D.O. Ribera del Duero); La Lonja Pinciana and Bigardo (D.O Vino de La Tierra de Castilla y León); Bodegas Félix Lorenzo Cachazo and Bodegas Mocén (D.O. Rueda).

You’ll leave wanting to learn (and taste!) more about this sometimes overlooked Spanish province.

2pm - What is in this bottle? Decoding wine labels with Le Cordon Bleu Ever felt a bit bewildered in the wine aisle of the supermarket? Do you wish you had a better understanding of wine to help you make more informed decisions? In this extremely useful Masterclass we will be tasting different styles of wine (sparkling, white, rosé, red and slightly sweet) to demonstrate how using the information on the label (grape variety, region, vintage etc) can help guide you as to what to expect simply by looking at the bottle on the shelf.

Anna Garden by Codorníu www.codorniu.com | @CodorniuUK Anna de Codorníu’s origins take us back to the XVI century and her history is that of a family of winegrowers headed by Jaume Codorníu. In 1659 Anna, the sole heiress of the Codorníu dynasty, was wedded to Miquel Raventós. A marriage ceremony that was to unite two sagas of wine­growers forever. Anna, a strong and decisi­ve woman, along with her husband laid the foundations of the present Codorníu winery. Anna de Codorníu was born in 1983 and was the first cava to incorporate the Chardonnay varietal. Today it is un­doubtedly Codorníu’s most iconic cava. With its delicateness, elegance and un­mistakeable freshness it constitutes a great tribute to the values represented by the last person in the family to bear the Codorníu surname.

On the nose it displays citrusy and tropical fruit notes along with more complex ageing aromas such as toast and brioche. Creamy, wide and long-lasting palate.

A very gourmet cava and a good ally for a wide range of foods: sautéed vegetables, fish, seafood, grilled meats and fruity desserts. l 2. Codorníu, Anna de Codorníu Cava Rosé, NV, Catalonia, Spain Delicate red cherry colour. Fine and persistent bubbles. Aromas of red fruit, strawberries, cherries and forest fruits with hints of green apple. The palate is elegant and light. Good acidity-sweetness balance with a refreshing finish. l 3. Codorníu, Anna de Codorníu Dulce, NV, Catalonia, Spain In this cava we discover a fantastic combination of fruity aromas with a balanced, sweet mouth-feel. On the nose fresh notes of spring fruits and white flowers, hints of peaches and almond blossom. On the palate it offers a pleasant dense feel, always preserving great freshness and vitality.
