Community engagement

Shelby Colarossi is a dedicated professional with more than 20 years of experience at the Windsor Essex Community Health Centre (weCHC).

She started her career with the organization as a member of the Teen Health Centre, where she played an integral role in the organization’s growth and development, witnessing several transformations over the years. Shelby has held various positions at weCHC and currently oversees its Public Relations and Development.

Her passion for her work at weCHC is driven by a desire to break down barriers to access to healthcare and empower individuals to better manage their physical and mental health. Health Promotion and Disease Prevention are at the forefront of her work, and she is proud to support weCHC in meeting clients where they are, emotionally and physically.

Shelby’s contributions to the Windsor community extend beyond her work at weCHC. Since 2003, she has been an active member of the Business Excellence Awards committee with the Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce. Through her work on the committee, she has gained a deep appreciation for the businesses and businesspeople in the community. Shelby played a key role in changing the format of the awards, which now features a Hollywood-style presentation where winners are revealed on the night of the awards.
