Alex and Elizabeth both grew up in Green Bay. College and work had taken them out of the area, but they wanted to return to their hometown for the wedding of their dreams. Elizabeth had a tremendous sense of style and design. For their wedding she envisioned metallic tones, the softness of candlelight and industrial touches. Gather on Broadway seemed like the perfect venue for this vision. The day approached that they had planned for. The women stayed at Lodge Kohler and were pampered in style. The men were together at the groom’s parents home located in historic Astor Park. The couple decided to see each other before the late afternoon ceremony so that they could enjoy the evening that they knew would go by too fast. Where else but to do the first look other than St. James Park, right across the street from Alex’s parents home. Ali Leigh Photography captured stunning images of the couple amongst the scenery. The bridal party joined in the pictures and all were so relaxed when arriving for the ceremony. The ceremony was held at Old St. Joseph’s Church on St. Norbert College’s Campus. The bride’s Hayley Paige wedding dress was absolutely stunning next to her groom’s classic black tuxedo. After the ceremony concluded guests were transported straight to the reception in Downtown Green Bay at Gather on Broadway. The succulent lined centerpieces were handcrafted by the bride’s family. The talented mother of the bride, Patty, took every detail into account when planning the look of the tables. Custom library card menus placed on individual clipboards, were personalized for each place setting. A delectable menu was catered by Runaway Spoon and guests danced the night away under the romantic lights.

HAIR & MAKEUP T IME FRAME
To ensure that everything runs smoothly on your event date, be sure to schedule a consultation and trial session with your makeup artist and hair stylist 1-2 months prior to your event. You’ll feel relaxed and won’t be making decisions under pressure.
Day-of hair styling will take approximately 40-45 minutes per person, depending on the type of hair style. Makeup applications take approximately 30 minutes per person.

Once you’ve determined the time when you need to be ready, we suggest working backwards in 30-40 minute increments to determine an arrival time for your beauty team. For example, if you need to be ready by 3 PM and have six applications/styles total, the start time would be 11 AM for hair and 12 PM for makeup.
Contrary to what most people think, it’s actually best for the bride to have her hair and makeup done toward the beginning or middle of the timeline as opposed to the very end. In the (highly likely) event that things are running a tad behind schedule, you don’t want your stylists rushing on the bride.
