Chelsea and I grew up in homes where addiction was prevalent and we both fell into addiction at a young age We are now both in long term recovery because the illuminating light of the Gospel provided us a way out Because of this, we feel that God has uniquely equipped us to reach this specific people group When reaching a largely underserved l h k h l and understand , speak the language of We can't wa r hearts All Love,

Our Mission The Way Church KC exists to glorify God and make disciples by practicing the way of Jesus together.
Abide We practice abiding in the presence of God. John 15:4 Transformation We are intentional about living the way of Jesus out as we seek to be transformed into His image on a daily basis. 2 Corinthians 3:18 & Romans 12:2 Spiritual Family We prioritize doing life together as a church family. Matthew 18:20 Radical Hospitality We go above and beyond to serve and host our church family, neighborhood, and city. 1 Peter 4:8 9 Pushing back Darkness We shine the illuminating light of the Gospel into the darkness of addiction and other areas of darkness. Darkness of Addiction
Addiction is the epidemic of our generation. It does not discriminate. It knows no race, gender, socioeconomic class, last name, or upbringing.
A quick search on the internet reveals statistics upon statistics regarding overdose deaths and substance use disorder. The harsh reality is that behind every statistic is a story and behind every story is a name.
These names, desperately need to hear of the Good News of Jesus Christ. Eternities are at stake. Through practicing the way of Jesus together we believe God will push back the darkness of addiction.
Overdose deaths continue to rise across your neighborhood, the KC metro, the states of Kansas and Missouri, and the United States as a whole.
There are many ways for one to find recovery, but there is only one way to eternal life; the way of Jesus.
Unfortunately, addiction has become commonplace.
The local church Is the hope of the world. The Way Church KC seeks to be a safe community for those lost In the darkness of addiction to find hope, healing, and belonging through practicing the way of Jesus together. Our outreach strategies for pushing back the darkness of addiction are: -Leading church within treatment centers. -Being an active presence In 12-Step meetings -Build lasting relationships with sober-living residents and Outreach Focus: Addiction
