Club of the Year!
Welcome to our June/July edition of ClubChat It was with great pleasure that I was fortunate to attend the Keno and Clubs Queensland Awards for Excellence held in Brisbane and accept the award on behalf of The Waves Club Caloundra The club won the prestigious award of QueenslandCluboftheYear:Small Tostandupinfrontof 1,200ofmypeerstoacceptthisawardonbehalfofnotonly our Board of Directors, CEO Brendan Royall and our team members,butforourmembersandguestswhofrequentthe club daily, weekly and throughout the year was an esteemedhonourandonethatwillbeforeverremembered In recognition of all the hard work and dedication that has shapeditintowhatitistoday,thisistheclub’ssecondever crowning achievement at the Keno and Club Queensland AwardsforExcellence
The renovations are now in full swing, and we have seen a large presence in tradespersons on site, working tirelessly to complete stages two and three At the time of writing, stage two and three are almost complete and are on target to reopen on or around Wednesday, 5 June At this time stage four will commence and will include the demolition of the existing kitchen, bar, and a large portion of the lounge area. This area will be fully renovated, and we expect this stagetotakefivemonthstocomplete.Unfortunately,during this stage there will be interruptions to our current offerings and services, and we apologise for this, but we will remain open offering food, beverage, and gaming Our temporary bistro and bar will be operating with a condensed menu offeringandreducedseating.Duringthefirstfewweekswe will be suspending our current daily lunch specials and weekly dinner specials while we settle into the new service areas Thiswillallowourteamofexperiencedchefstimeto streamline processes ensuring we can continue to deliver consistentqualityandvalueformoneyspecials.
