5:00 PM - 9/11 Stories of Bravery Omni Hotel and Resorts, The Battery Atlanta Hear the compelling stories of bravery and survival of a FDNY Ladder 10 Firefighter and NY Port Authority employee as they tell their harrowing experiences of being in the World Trade Center during the terrorists attacks and building collapse. The event will also feature Atlanta-area veterans who raised their hand to serve in the War on Global Terror and the impacts of 9/11 on their lives.

6:30 PM - Exit for Atlanta Braves vs. Miami Marlins – Truist Park See the two NL East Rivals face off from our exclusive guest suites.

9/11- STORIES OF BRAVERY FEATURED SPEAKERS - 9/11 WORLD TRADE CENTERS Kayla Bergeron New York City Port Authority Suwanee, Georgia

Kayla Bergeron worked in the North Tower of the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001, as a high-ranking official at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. She was at her desk on the 68th floor when she felt the building lurch forward. The ensuing effort to escape down the only passable stairway took almost an hour, and was made nearly impossible due to challenges they faced during and after the collapse of the building. Kayla speaks about her 9/11 experience of survival, the struggles she faced as a result of Post Traumatic Stress, and how her journey has come full circle in helping others dealing with trauma and addiction.

John Morabito FDNY Ladder Ten Firefighter Brooklyn, New York

John Morabito served as a FDNY Ten House firefighter for 17 years before medically retiring.

Ladder 10 is the World Trade Center firehouse, and was the initial rescue team that arrived on the scene. John lost 6 of his fellow firefighters that day and was the only one of FDNY Ten House in the lobby of both towers that survived. Hear John’s personal account of the events of 9/11, the heroic actions he performed, and the mission he is on to honor the memory of the brave Ladder 10 brothers that lost their lives in service.

FEATURED SPEAKERS- POST 9/11 WARRIORS Rodney Bullard US Air Force, Executive Director, Chik-Fil-A Foundation Atlanta, Georgia

Rodney Bullard volunteered for the Armed Forces during the Global War on Terror, joining the Air Force Academy as a response to 9/11. Rodney also served at the Pentagon as a Congressional Legislative Liaison in the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, became a White House Fellow, and worked in the Department of Justice as an Assistant Distict Attorney. Rodney describes the impact that 9/11 had on the course of his life, his decision to join the Air Force, and the passion that drove him to write the book, “Heroes Wanted; Why the World Needs You to Live Your Heart Out. ”
