REFASHION A FASHION SHOW CUT DIFFERENTLY

Wastebusters in partnership with Fabricate and Wānaka Community Workshop are proud to present: Refashion - a fashion show cut differently.

“We wanted to put together an event that really celebrates embracing your personal style,” Wastebusters Events Coordinator Chelsea Holdom said. “We believe you should be proud of loving your clothes! They’re fun. They’re expressive. They make us feel good. This is what slow fashion is all about - if you love your clothes, you should look after them. Choose well. Buy less. Make them last.”

Refashion will be showcasing what’s possible when the fashion industry slows down and puts our people and planet at the heart of their practices.

“We're so lucky to have such talented locals in our community! The show will feature the results of Fabricate's workshops - where students have created beautiful garments from repurposed materials, which will be revealed for the first time down the runway,” Chelsea said. www.wastebusters.co.nz/event/refashion

Local designers & clothing creators will also join the catwalk, showcasing their slow fashion designs. Along with Wasties' moodboard models, proving that there really are endless possibilities when it comes to shopping second-hand first.

Fox & Badger will be serving up some delicious kai next door at Rhyme & Reason. We’ll also have some spot prizes throughout the evening for anyone with a good slow fashion story for us!
