A BRIEF HISTORY OF RAMRAO ADIK INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

The Current Story of RAIT:
Ramrao Institute Of Technology is housed in a spacious buliding, part of the huge DY Patil Campus which is home to many other sister institutes. Most if the canteens and faculties are connected internally. There is consiberable interaction between the people of different faculties.
>> CROWD :
A masala mix of scholars, cyber junkies, die-hard head-bangers, take-it-easy goers, flunkers, Martians, etc. can be found here. Life in RAIT begins at 9.00AM and seemingly ends at 6.00PM (People never leave. They just fade away. RAIT is never lifeless). People are into computers, rock music..rock music, computers. Half of RAIT comprises of cyber-nerds and other hallf sleep on guitars.
>> CANTEEN:
The RAIT canteen (managed by Anna) serves good food at the higher-end of moderate prices. Thali, vada pav, fried rice are favourites. The ambience has been recently upgraded and now attracts students from every department, be it Medicine or Law or Engineering. The change has been so drastic that alumni who havn't been to the college for long , can't believe its the same canteen.
>> PLACEMENTS:
The placement records have been sky-high in the recent years and there has been a plethora of companies ready to recruit talented RAIT-ians. The major recruiter has been Infosys over the past few years. Great progress has been recorded in recent years and the placement statistics match those of IIT, Bombay. RAIT IS DARINGLY DIFFERENT. WITH A HEALTHY MIX OF EDUCATION AND ENTERTAINMENT, WE REALLY ARE ENGINEERS WITH A DIFFERENCE AND WE REDEFINE 'ENGINEERING'.
