Credits, Clients and Awards Dr. Benjamin Dancygier of Valley Pediatric Dentistry in Yorktown, was recently named one of Hudson Valley’s “Favorite Docs” by Hudson Valley Parent magazine. The annual award is given to those doctors and health care professionals who have been selected by their patients as going above and beyond their expectations and for providing exceptional health care services.

Dr. Huan Sue Zhou of Scarsdale received her medical degree from the State University of New York School of Medicine, Stony Brook. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology from Montefiore Medical Center and completed her fellowship from Mount Sinai Medical Center urogynecology. Zhou is a member of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery in White Plains. Dr. Tarunjit Singh of Hicksville received his medical degree from Government Medical College, Amritsar, India. He completed his residency in medicine at Westchester Medical Center. Singh completed his fellowship from Westchester Medical Center/New York Medical College in cardiology. He practices medicine at NWH as a hospitalist.

Joseph DiCarlo, director of human resources at WESTMED Medical Group, a Purchase-based multispecialty medical practice, was recently appointed co-chairman of the Westchester– Putnam Workforce Investment Board’s (WIB) Healthcare Business Sector Partnership. The WIB established business sector partnerships three years ago as a means of engaging local business leaders by business sectors to solicit their input on their workforce needs and to develop appropriate solutions to these challenges.

Newsmakers Northern Westchester Hospital (NWH) recently welcomed the following members to its medical staff. Dr. Jeffrey Jacobson, of White Plains practices plastic and reconstructive surgery with Westchester Health. He received his medical degree from State University of New York School of Medicine, Stony Brook, completed his residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Georgetown University Hospital and completed his fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Debra Pritzker of New City practices as a physician assistant with NWH. She received her degree from Duke University and is board certified as a physician Aassistant. Dr. Alan B. Bernstein of Larchmont received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center-Babies Hospital. He is a member of the Mount Kisco Medical Group. Meagan Sullivan of Somers received her degree from Yale School of Nursing. She is board certified as an adult nurse practitioner and practices at NWH. Dr. John C. Bertolini, of Basking Ridge, N.J., received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed his residency in emergency medicine at George Washington University Hospital. Bertolini practices emergency medicine at NWH. Dr. Yin C. Hu of Ossining received his medical degree from Chicago Medical School and completed his residency in neurosurgery from Case Western Reserve University Hospital. Hu completed his fellowship in neuro-interventional surgery at Case Western Reserve University Hospital/The Neurological and completed fellowships in endovascular surgical neuroradiology and cerebrovascular/skull base from Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix. He practices with Westchester Advanced Physicians. Dr. Andrew Eichenfield of New York City received his medical degree from Chicago Medical School and completed his residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in pediatrics. Eichenfield completed his fellowship in pediatric rheumatology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He practices pediatric rheumatology at NWH at Chappaqua Crossing and Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of NYP.

Snapshot MDxpress, a new walk-in medical facility, will make its Westchester debut this month at 1030 W. Boston Post Road in Mamaroneck. Open seven days a week, including all holidays, the facility will have top doctors and medical assistants on staff to treat a variety of pediatric and adult nonlife and limb-threatening injuries and illnesses.
