he Upper Barrakka Gardens in Malta’s capital, Valletta, with the spectacular view of the Grand Harbour is perhaps the island’s most popular sites. The view from up there is magical. No wonder locals and tourists flock to watch the unique site. Visiting Valletta to relax, a walk up to the Upper Barrakka to watch the breathtaking view that is alive with history of the Grand Harbour is a must. In recent years, the Upper Barrakka, and in particular the Saluting Battery perched on the bastions just below it have become most popular for staging popular celebrations. Who would have thought it could also become the perfect venue for wedding receptions to celebrate with friends their most important day of their life? (See also page 13)
