Peanuts, 3 and 4-year-olds co-ed; Timbits, 5 and 6 year-olds co-ed; Pre-Squirts, 7 and 8-year-olds co-ed; Squirt, 9 and 10-year-olds co-ed. Peanut to Squirt teams only play in Pelham on Saturday mornings. Travelling “recreational” teams are offered for boys 8 years of age and older, playing in the NYSL and 9 years of age and older in the NRGSL for girls. Travelling “competitive” teams for those 11 years of age and older play in the SRSL. Registration forms are mailed out to previous year’s participants in January 2011. Registration closes for all travelling teams on February 15, 2010 but are accepted on an as-needed basis subject to a late fee after this date. All other registrations are accepted until April 30. 2010. Late registration fees may be charged after April 30, 2010 for Peanuts to Squirt and Interlock. Forms are available at the Pelham Municipal Building and both branches of the Pelham Public Library or online at www.pelhamsoccer.ca

The season runs from May to August with most games played at Centennial Park, Fenwick. After over 30 years, F.S.A. continues to offer fun and competition for our local youth. BlastBall is a program Fenwick Softball has been running since 2004, introducing the basic fundamentals of softball (hitting, throwing, catching, running and fielding) and is aimed at children ages 3 to 6. There are no complex rules, no umpires, no personal equipment and no ball diamond. It is designed to put the fun back into the game of softball and to generate fast-paced action, enthusiasm and fun. Learn 2 Play is a program Fenwick Softball has been running since 2003 within our junior division. The Learn 2 Play program is designed to be a young person’s introduction to the sport of softball. The emphasis is on FUN, ACTION, and a POSITIVE ATMOSPHERE, with a gradual introduction to non-stressful competition. The program provides children aged 7-10 with maximum opportunity to practice the skills necessary to successfully take part in the (adult) game of softball. The season starts off with skills development, and then proceeds into the regular season of softball.
