Happily Ever After Mikoviches celebrate 66 years together John Mikovich and Doris Napolitan Mikovich of Austintown celebrated their 66th anniversary on July 8 with their family. Their children are Shirley and Fred Merlo of Austintown, Alan and Michele Mikovich of Canfield, Mark and Debi Mikovich of Ft. Myers, Fla., Donna and Mike O’Neil of The Villages, Fla., Joel and Kristen Mikovich of Charlotte, N.C., and John Mikovich and Gary Mikovich, both of Florida. They also have 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The couple exchanged vows July 8, 1950, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica in Youngstown. Mrs. Mikovich worked for General Electric Austintown Coil for 18 years. Mr. Mikovich served in the U.S. Marine Corps, then worked for Youngstown Building Materials for 38 years. The couple are members of St. Brendan Church.
Vukovich-Koch engagement announced Joe and Patti Koch of Austintown are announcing the engagement of their son, Joseph Koch Jr. of Austintown, and Taylor Vukovich of North Canton, Ohio. The bride-elect is the daughter of Ross and Judi Vukovich, also of North Canton. The couple will exchange vows at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 8 at St. Paul Catholic Church in North Canton. A reception will follow at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn in Akron. Invitations will be issued for both. Miss Vukovich earned a bachelor’s degree in biosystems engineering from the University of Kentucky. She is a CAPA engineer at Zimmer Biomet in Dover, Ohio. M r. Koch ea r ned a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Kent State University. He is a superintendent for Joe Koch Construction in Austintown.
Haley Harmon, Adam Magana plan October rite Haley Harmon and Adam Magana, both of Boardman, plan to be married Oct. 22. Miss Harmon is the daughter of Marsha (David) Coakley of Canfield and Tyrone (Haydee Ortiz) Hammond of Kingston, Okla. Mr. Magana is the son of Ernesto and Kristy Magana of Victorville, Calif. The ceremony is set for 4:30 p.m. at Stambaugh Auditorium. Invitations are being issued. T he br ide-elect g raduated f rom Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing management. She works in sales for ClarkDietrich Building Systems in Warren. The prospective groom also graduated from YSU with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He is a product leader for Drund Ltd. in Boardman.
Adrienne Misko v Paul Nowoczynski The Duquesne Club was the setting of the wedding and reception for Adrienne M. Misko and Paul J. Nowoczynski, who were married Oct. 17, 2015. Jessica Botos and Dan Newman officiated at the 6 p.m. ceremony. After a wedding trip to Tanzania and Zanzabar, Africa, the couple reside in Brooklyn, N.Y. The bride’s parents are Ralph Misko of Boardman and Karen Weir of Frederick, Md. The groom’s parents are Carl Nowoczynski of Erie, Pa., and Mary Bentzoni of Buffalo, N.Y. Mrs. Nowoczynski graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in dance and choreography. She works as an administrative coordinator for Capital Springs in New York City. The groom graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in information science. He is employed as a systems architect for Data Direct Network, Santa Clara, Calif. The bride wore an ivory silk, satin and chiffon fit-and-flare gown detailed with a geode sunburst and pleating. Jessica Frederick, the bride’s cousin, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jessica Botos, Whitney Jacobs, Jennifer Cooper, Lauren Lehmann and Tamar Bernfeld. Nieces of the bride, Gwendolyn J. and Hannah Misko, were flower girls. The groom’s brother, Taylor Bentzoni, served as best man. Groomsmen were Derrick Misko, the bride’s brother; Jacob, Dustin and Steven Nowoczynski, the groom’s brothers; Ken Goodwin; and Ed Nai.
Kristen Shepherd and Daniel Crish will marry Oct. 8 Atty. David A. and Mary Ann Shepherd of Poland are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Kristen A. Shepherd, to Daniel C. Crish, both of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. The parents of the prospective groom are David A. and Linda S. Crish of Poland. The wedding will take place Oct. 8 at Poland Presbyterian Church with a reception to follow at the Youngstown Country Club. Invitations will be sent for both events. The bride-elect graduated from the University of Akron with a master’s degree in speech language pathology and is employed by OhioHealth as a pediatric speech language pathologist. The prospective groom also graduated from UA with master’s degrees in education and curriculum and instruction. He is a teacher for Jackson-Milton Local School District.
Danielle Downie, Scott Johnson set to be married Alex and Christine Downie of Canfield are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Danielle Downie, to Scott Johnson, both of Columbus. Mr. Johnson is a son of Richard Johnson and Betsy Cartwright, both of Chillicothe, Ohio. The wedding ceremony is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Grange Insurance Audobon Center, Columbus, and a reception will follow. Invitations will be issued for both events. The bride-elect graduated from Ohio State University with a master’s degree in education. She is a sixth grade teacher for Columbus City Schools. The prospective groom also is a graduate of OSU, with a degree in finance and market-
ing. He is an operations supervisor for DePuy Synthes in Columbus.
