ANTEZOLE® -H GRANULES Horse deworming Powder Equine anthelmintic: a palatable granule containing pyrantel for the treatment of large and small strongyle, ascarid and pinworm infestations in horses.

Composition Each gram of Antezole-H contains 767mg of pyrantel pamoate (equivalent to 266mg of pyrantel base).

Dosage / Application One level of measureful of the powder (about 3.7grams) treats 150kg horse, i.e. a 450kg horse requires 3 level measurefuls. The powder is sweetish but virtually tasteless and is normally readily accepted. This amount is given as a single therapeutic dose.

At double the normal therapeutic dose (i.e. two measurefuls of Antezole-H per 150kg), pyrantel is also effective against the equine tapeworm (Anplocephala perfoliata).

ARNICA ICE COOLING GEL Muscular Relief A topical analgesic for temporary relief of aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with sprains, strains or arthritis.

Contains arnica oil, witch hazel, menthol and camphor.

Composition Arnica oil 1%, menthol 1%, camphor 0,6%, witch hazel 0,6% in a gel base.

Dosage / Application LEGS: To relieve pain, rub in thoroughly three or more times a day.

BACK, SHOULDERS & FLANK: Apply liberally for relief of soreness and stiffness (it can be used three or more times daily).

Don’t apply under saddle area if horse is to be ridden after treatment.

THERAPEUTIC BODYWASH: when a coolant is indicated, mix 2 tablespoonfuls of gel into 1 litre of warm water and apply with a sponge to the horse’s entire body.

DARROWS SOLUTION ReHydration A pleasantly flavoured oral glucose-electrolyte mixture for small and large animals. The solution replaces fluids and electrolytes which have been lost in cases of diarrhoea and corrects the subsequent dehydration and electrolyte imbalances. It is readily accepted by convalescing animals and is of benefit to them.

Fluid, electrolyte and energy replacement following diarrhoea.

Composition When diluted as directed each ml contains Potassium Chloride 1.5mg, Sodium Chloride 2mg, Sodium Citrate 2.5mg and Glucose 25mg.

Dosage / Application Dilute 1 part Darrow’s Solution with 10 parts water. The oral solution should be prepared daily. Discard any unused solution after 24 hours.

EQUIBALANCE A balanced electrolyte replacement for horses. EQUIBALANCE has an optimum mineral ratio that matches and replaces the electrolytes lost during strenuous exercise or hard work.

EQUIBALANCE not only matches the necessary electrolytes lost during workout, but replaces them in the correct proportion.

Composition Chloride 311g/kg, Sodium 213g/kg, Potassium 105g/kg, Calcium 10g/kg, Sulphur 6,5g/kg, Magnesium 4,9g/kg, Glucose 106g/kg.

Dosage / Application 30 – 120g (depending on the intensity of exercise, weight of horse, temperature, humidity) daily mixed into feed or drinking water. One level measure is equivalent to 15g. Give the horse enough water to drink and do not restrict access to clean water.

Electrolytes should be given during exercise, and especially shortly thereafter.

EQUITENS Vitamin Supplement A natural calming agent for horses. It is a palatable vitamin supplement and can be used for stressed and nervous horses as well as horses with high vitamin B1, B2 and B6 requirements.

Composition Each kilogram of EQUITENS contains Thiamine 60g, Riboflavin 25g, Pyridoxine HCl 10g in a palatable base.

Dosage / Application Horses: 30g daily (4 scoops) Ponies:

15g daily (2 scoops)

One level scoop is equal to 7,5g of powder.

The powder can be mixed directly into feed or can be mixed in the drinking water as often as required. EQUITENS may be administered to any horse already in a stressed condition or to those that are likely to become stressed. It is therefore ideal to use EQUITENS before and during shows, competitions or events that may unsettle the horse. EQUITENS can be given daily, a few days before the event as a loading dose in order to maintain adequate levels of B vitamins.

GGE POWDER Expectorant It is a central-acting skeletal muscle relaxant and is closely chemically related to mephenesin and meprobamate, other propanediol derivatives also widely used as muscle relaxants.

GGE in addition has expectorant properties. It also increases the potency of pre-anaesthetic agents and barbiturates.

Composition Guaiacyl Glyceryl Ether (GGE), white crystalline powder with a bitter taste. It is also known as guaifenesin and chemically as 3-(2-Methoxyphenoxy)-1, -2-propanediol.

Dosage / Application Dissolve 50g in 1 litre of warm sterile water. This makes a 5% solution. Inject rapidly intravenously at the rate of 2ml/kg bodymass (100mg per kg). Recumbency is normally attained in about 2 minutes, giving about 6 minutes of light, not quite surgical level restraint. GGE is often used in combination with various other substances, e.g. Xylazine, Detomidine, Thiopentone, Ketamine, etc.

KYROGEST ANTACID For ruminants for the treatment of Rumen Overload (rumen acidosis). KYROGEST ANTACID is an efficient antacid which is combined with ginger (for its stimulant action on the rumen) and trace minerals to provide nutrients for rumen microflora.

Composition A 320g bag contains Calcium carbonate 222g, Magnesium carbonate 14g, Sodium phosphate dibasic 8g, Sodium propionate 50g, Ginger 19.3g, Cobalt sulphate 72mg, Copper sulphate 232mg, Manganese sulphate 220mg, Zinc sulphate 20mg.

Dosage / Application Bovine Mix the contents of a bag (320g) with about 10 litres of warm water and give by stomach tube to ensure dispersion throughout the rumen.

Repeat at least once over 24 hours.

Continue treatment for 2 – 3 days.

Ovine Drench ¼ bag (80g) repeated over 24 hours.

KYROLIGO INJECTABLE Vitamin Supplement Kyroligo Injection contains oil- and water-soluble vitamins, Inositol, Choline, Methionine (an amino acid), and minerals Manganese, Zinc, Copper, Cobalt and Magnesium.

KYROVITE A-E INJECTION Vitamin Supplement KYROVITE A-E injection is a high-potency aqueous of Vitamin A and E. It is a milky, yellowish-white fluid of low viscosity.

Composition Each ml of KYROVITE A-E contains: 500 000 i.u. Vitamin A, 50 i.u. Vitamin E. Preservative: benzyl alcohol 1% Dosage / Application Give by deep intramuscular injection 1ml per 250kg or 2ml per 500kg body mass. Repeat every 2 to 3 months during dry grazing conditions except where otherwise recommended.

Under intensive farming conditions Vitamin A requirements may be higher and larger doses therefore required.

SHOO-FLY SPRAY Insect Repellent Spray A highly effective, pleasant-smelling solution providing immediate relief and long-lasting protection against all flies especially biting flies. INTRA-EPICAINE Anaesthetic Mepivacaine is indicated for infiltration, nerve block, intraarticular and epidural anaesthesia in horses.

For infiltration: As required, but as a guide 2 – 5ml.

OSTEOKINE PRP DEVICE Regenerative medicine Osteokine's enclosed, sterile, dual-bag system enables simple aseptic processing of whole blood to produce autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP), which has been shown to accelerate healing in injuries involving fibrous tissues such as tendons, ligaments, and skin. It has also been used in healing bones.

Whole blood is taken from the horse and placed into the redcapped Osteokine bag. After processing in a special centrifuge, a pellet of PRP is generated that can be re-suspended to treat the horse from which it was taken.
