America’s Historic Triangle

Take a chronological journey back in time! Walk in the footsteps of those that built our country through America’s Historic Triangle, made up of three historic colonial towns located in Virginia – a hotbed of activity for our founding fathers. The Triangle is: Jamestown – the first permanent English settlement in the New World established in 1607 Williamsburg – became the capital of Virginia in 1699, now living museum of early American life Yorktown - where General Cornwallis surrendered to Washington in 1781, ending the Revolution. Separately, each is a living monument. Together, they tell the story of a revolution that birthed a nation. Day 1: Williamsburg, VA (D) Your journey begins as we travel to Williamsburg, VA, and the Holiday Inn & Suites Gateway hotel, your home for the entire trip. Settle in for your four night stay and plan to enjoy the indoor heated pool and whirlpool! Upon arrival, meet your fellow travelers at a welcome reception followed by dinner at Le Yaca, known for fine French dining. Day 2: Jamestown Settlement (B, D) The first leg of the triangle begins at the Jamestown Settlement, dating back to the early 1600’s. Witness life of the earliest American settlers on a guided tour that shows the start of how our country became a “melting pot.” Today is packed with history as you’ll: • On a guided tour, see life in an Indian Village, the original inhabitants of Virginia.
