Day 1: Washington, DC (D) Today we journey through the Mid-Atlantic States to our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., allowing you plenty of time to meet new friends and get to know your Upper Class Tour Director. Arriving in Washington, you’re in for a treat – a tour of the United States Capitol Building. Entering through the new Visitor Center, with soaring spaces and skylight views of the Capitol dome, you are welcomed on a journey back through history. Through exhibits & tours, you will learn how this magnificent building was constructed, & the pivotal role MLK Jr. Monument it plays in our country’s democracy. Victorian Christmas in Cape May

Strolling through Cape May, you stop to admire a few intricate holiday decorations. As the innkeeper notices you from inside, he opens the front door. The smell of a newly cut pine trees and fresh baked gingerbread cookies is intoxicating. Stepping inside, the innkeeper welcomes you and your friends and begins sharing holiday stories and traditions as you marvel at the opulence inside. Is this the 1840’s or today? In Cape May, it’s both! Known as the epicenter of Victorian architecture, you’ll meet two modern day innkeepers who open their homes to you. Discover first-hand Victorian holiday traditions inside Cape May’s beautifully decorated Inns, dated back to the mid-1800s. Your lunch is at the charming Washington Inn, nestled on a tree-lined Street in the heart of the Cape May Historic District. Day 1: Hyannis, Massachusetts (D) Travel up the southern New England coastline today and enjoy time to meet new friends and get to know your Upper Class Tour Director. Once you arrive on the Cape, you’ll board a Duckmobile, a military amphibious vehicle. You’ll ride the streets of downtown Hyannis and learn about the early settlers of Cape Cod, see a light house, some of the best beaches and sites made famous by the Kennedys. This afternoon, you’ll visit the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum, a multimedia exhibit designed to open a window on the days JFK spent on Cape Cod; relaxing with family, playing football and sailing on the ocean to which he was so constantly drawn. The exhibit features photographs spanning the years 1934 to 1963, depicting this special time in JFK’s life. One-Day Tours: For one-day tours, full payment is due within seven days of making a reservation. If a guest elects to purchase Travel Insurance, the insurance cost is due within seven days of making a reservation.

Prices are per person, per trip and include all round trip transportation, accommodations, meals, entertainment, admissions, tour escorts, guides, taxes and gratuities as per the unique itinerary of each trip, unless otherwise stated.

Multiple-Day Tours: For multiple-day tours, a 20% per person deposit is due within seven days of making a reservation. Balance is then due 90 days prior to departure. If a guest elects to purchase Travel Insurance, the insurance cost is due within seven days of making a reservation.

It is the travelers’ responsibility to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to designated departure times. Any guest not arriving in time for departure may be left behind. The Upper Class, LLC assumes no responsibility for guests arriving late at departure points at any location.

CANCELLATIONS

If a guest is unable to travel due to illness or other health issues, The Upper Class Medical Cancellation Insurance program provides a refund for the cost of any trip, minus the price of the insurance.

One-Day Tours: Guests may cancel reservations up to 30 days prior to departure on one-day motor coach tour for a full credit, minus any unrecoverable charges (i.e. Theater tickets). There will be no credit or refund for any cancellation made after this time, unless The Upper Class Travel Insurance has been purchased and the Insurance terms have been complied with. Credits are valid for 12 months from the date issued.

The refund will be made upon receipt of a doctor’s note. The note must state that, based on an office visit, the guest was not able to travel. The note must be signed by the doctor and dated on or before the trip’s departure date. Insurance is available for purchase within seven days of making your reservation. Insurance claims must be received within 14 days after the departure date of the tour. Insurance is available for cancellations due to medical reasons only. Once purchased, insurance is non-refundable and non-transferable. The Insurance fee does not cover any changes in tour prices which arise from an individual’s traveling companion electing to cancel prior to departure. In this case, the price difference will be deducted from the refund of the person who cancels.
