First Curtain Scheduled To Rise Tonight On “Madwoman Of Chaillot”
Carol Imhof, Playboy magazine’s Playmate of the Month for December, is bringing a few friends to West Liberty for the Playmate Scholarship Party, Wednesday, April 7. Underground They are Norman and Sandra Dietz, two gentle people who have been called “The mad Hansel and Gretel of the underground theatre”. The Dietzes, currently appearing on radio and television, entertain in the style of Mike Nichols and Elaine May. Proceeds Norman, the writer of the team, has produced such sparkling skits as “Noah Webster’s Original
Unabridged Electric Ark,” and “Deus Ex Machinist,” the latter to be released as an LP in the fall. The Playmate Scholarship Party, sponsored by the College Union Program Council, will present the proceeds from the coat-and-tie event to the athletic department for scholarships. Tonight, Thursday, February 18, the curtain will rise at 8:30 p.m. in the Hall of Fine Arts theater for the first performance of the Hilltop Players’ “Madwoman of Chaillot,” under the direction of Stanley Harrison, associate professor of speech and theater. Performances will continue nightly through Sunday, February 21.
This play is a comedy, featuring four madwomen. Clare McNett is the Madwoman of Chaillot. Her aim is to exterminate evil men because they worship money.

Men’s Resident Assistant Job Applications Now Available Men students interested in a resident assistant’s job for next year are urged to contact Assistant Dean of Men Jonathan Bacon for an application which must be returned on or before Monday, March 1. A minimum cumulative average of 2.20 is required for the job, and an appiicant cannot have any other outside employment. Interviews Included on the ineligible list is any student whose outside activities would cause extended absences from the residence halls; editors of the Trumpet or Reflections; any student who expects to have a leading role in a dramatic production; a student teacher; or a member of a varsity team who must spend extended periods away from his employment. Everyone who meets the requirements will be interviewed from March 1 through 25, and announcement of the staff for next year will be made Friday, March 26, according to Dean Bacon. Compensation Resident assistants will receive free room and board as compensation.
Any questions concerning the applications, or the position and its duties will be answered by Dean Bacon. . Training Employment, for those selected, wiU begin the day before the residence halls open in the Fall and end the day after commencement. All new employees will receive a minimum of 10 hours training this Spring under the supervision of Dean Bacon.
Chi Nu's Sponsor Ugly Man Contest; Will Begin Monday
“Ugly Man On Campus” contest is being sponsored by the Chi Nu Fraternity beginning at noon, Monday, February 22, at which time all entries must be submitted with a $5 fee paid.
