DPM: RAISE THE AGE OF CONSENT

100 JOBS IN ATHOL ISLAND PLAN - AND MORE TO COME

‘Sex with under 18-year-olds should be against the law’ By EARYEL BOWLEG Tribune Staff Reporter ebowleg@tribunemedia.net DEPUTY Prime Minister Chester Cooper said the age of consent should be raised to 18 to “further protect minors”. His comment on Friday came after Minister of Social Services and Development Obie Wilchcombe said the Office of the Attorney General was looking to address “inconsistencies” in law with the age of consent with legislation expected to change in the summer.
